Where each one wins
GloriaFood and Menuthere both give a restaurant commission-free direct ordering with QR codes. They differ on what's free, what's an add-on, and on time: GloriaFood closes on 30 April 2027.
Where GloriaFood wins
- Unlimited orders for free. Menuthere's Free plan has 50 orders a month; unlimited orders start on Lite at $17 a month.
- More on the free plan: scheduled orders, table reservations, promotions and coupons. On Menuthere these are on Lite.
- More ways to take cards: Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, Authorize.net and other gateways in the US. Menuthere takes online card payments through your own Stripe account only.
- Links through partners to POS systems such as Lightspeed, Clover and SambaPOS, to Wolt, and to driver dispatch such as Shipday. Menuthere doesn't connect to outside POS systems or delivery apps.
- Reservation deposits ($0.50 per guest) and automated email marketing as add-ons. Menuthere's table booking takes no deposits, and it has no email marketing automation.
Where Menuthere wins
- Menuthere is open to new restaurants today. GloriaFood stopped taking sign-ups and reaches end of life on 30 April 2027.
- Card payments without a $29 add-on: Lite at $17 a month includes them through your own Stripe account. On GloriaFood, card payments plus Advanced Promo Marketing come to $48 a month.
- WhatsApp ordering and order updates on your own number, loyalty points and a riders app with live tracking, all on Pro at $39 a month.
- Your menu translated into other languages, and pushed to your Google Business Profile, on Lite.
- Move without retyping: import your GloriaFood menu with its Fetch Menu key, with categories, dishes, sizes and add-on groups.
Moving from GloriaFood to Menuthere
Export your data and import your menu
In GloriaFood's Reports, export your client list and order history, and create a Fetch Menu key under 3rd party integrations. In Menuthere, open Menu, choose Import from GloriaFood and paste the key: your categories, dishes, sizes and add-on groups come across. GloriaFood doesn't send photos, so add them afterwards.
Set up ordering and payments
Re-create your hours, delivery zones and fees. On Lite, connect your own Stripe account for card payments, with no add-on fee. Print kitchen tickets on a thermal printer, and use Uber Direct on your own account if you need drivers.
Swap every link before 30 April 2027
Point your website's order button, Google Business Profile and Facebook link at Menuthere, and print new table QR codes, because GloriaFood's stop working when it closes. Run both until nothing points to GloriaFood. Our GloriaFood alternative page and migration guide go through each step.
The bottom line
Stay on GloriaFood for now if it works for you and you need a few months: it keeps running until 30 April 2027, with unlimited free orders and no commission. Plan the move early, though. Your order buttons, QR codes and Facebook links stop working when it closes, and its terms keep your data retrievable for only 30 days after service ends.
Pick Menuthere if you want the same kind of commission-free direct ordering on a system that is taking new restaurants. Free covers 50 orders a month, and Lite at $17 a month adds unlimited orders and card payments, for less than GloriaFood's $29 card add-on alone. Your GloriaFood menu imports directly. See how to switch from GloriaFood and the step-by-step migration guide.
Menuthere takes online cards through Stripe only, and it has no POS or delivery-app integrations, no email marketing automation, no reservation deposits and no kitchen display screen. If you rely on those, compare the other options on our GloriaFood alternative page and in the best online ordering systems in the USA.
