Where each one wins
RestoLabs and Menuthere both give a restaurant commission-free online ordering on a month-to-month plan. They differ on price, on what each plan includes, and on integrations.
Where RestoLabs wins
- POS integrations: from Growth, orders can go into Toast, Clover, Genius and other POS systems. Menuthere doesn't connect to outside POS systems.
- Delivery drivers from DoorDash as well as Uber Direct on Growth and Pro. Menuthere offers Uber Direct on your own account, or your own riders.
- Payment choice: RestoLabs works with 50+ gateways, such as Stripe, Worldpay, Heartland and Authorize.net. Menuthere card payments run through your own Stripe account.
- A longer trial: 30 days on any plan with no credit card. Menuthere's Lite and Pro trial is 7 days and needs a card.
- Loyalty points, coupons and banners on every plan, and on Pro RestoLabs sets up your SEO website and Google Business Profile for you.
Where Menuthere wins
- Price: Lite is $17 a month and Pro $39 a month. RestoLabs starts at $69 a month, or $55 billed annually.
- A real Free plan that takes 50 orders a month with no card, not only a trial.
- QR table ordering for dine-in on every plan, including Free. On RestoLabs it starts on Growth at $99 a month.
- WhatsApp ordering and order updates on your own number, plus broadcasts, on Pro.
- Your own customer app with everything in Pro for $99 a month. RestoLabs includes its app on Pro at $199 a month, or adds it for $49 a month.
Moving from RestoLabs to Menuthere
Import your menu
Upload a photo or PDF of your menu and Menuthere's AI import builds it, with sizes and add-ons you can check and edit.
Set up ordering and payments
On Lite, connect your own Stripe account for card payments and draw delivery zones on a map. Print kitchen tickets on a thermal printer, and use Uber Direct on your own account if you need drivers.
Move your links, then cancel
Point your domain to Menuthere, update your Google Business Profile and print new QR codes. RestoLabs' terms say you can cancel any time and keep access to the end of the paid period, with no refund for that period. A RestoLabs branded app can be removed 30 days after you cancel.
The bottom line
Pick RestoLabs if you run Toast, Clover or Genius and want online orders to land in your POS, or you want DoorDash drivers as well as Uber Direct. Those start on Growth at $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, and its 30-day trial needs no card.
Pick Menuthere if you want your own ordering website and QR table ordering at a low fixed price. Free takes 50 orders a month, Lite is $17 a month, and Pro is $39 a month with WhatsApp ordering and loyalty, with 0% commission on every plan. If you want your own app in the stores, the Branded App plan is $99 a month.
Menuthere doesn't connect to outside POS systems or delivery apps, and has no gift cards, email or SMS marketing, or kitchen display screen. If you rely on those, RestoLabs or another system on our RestoLabs alternatives list will fit better.
