Can I cancel a refund I sent by mistake?

Sometimes. Some card refunds can be cancelled for a short time after you send them, but only from the Stripe Dashboard. A refund processed as a charge reversal cannot be cancelled.

• In the Dashboard, open the payment, press the three dots and choose Cancel refund. With several partial refunds, pick the right one.
• Card refund cancellation is currently supported in the Dashboard only, not through the API.
• The window is short and not fixed, so act as soon as you notice.
• If it cannot be cancelled, talk to the customer. Do not issue a second refund by mistake.
