How much does Stripe charge a restaurant in Australia?

Stripe charges 1.7% + A$0.30 for domestic cards and 3.5% + A$0.30 for international cards in Australia. From 1 October 2026 domestic online card fees drop to 1.65% + A$0.30.
- Domestic cards: 1.7% + A$0.30, GST included. International cards: 3.5% + A$0.30.
- Add 2% if currency conversion is needed.
- From 1 October 2026 domestic online card fees drop to 1.65% + A$0.30.
- From 1 April 2027 international online card fees drop to 2.80% + A$0.30.
- Stripe says the drops pass on the Reserve Bank of Australia's lower interchange caps.
Your money goes straight to your Stripe
