What happens when my only delivery rider is out and a new order comes in?

Have a backup ready before it happens: a courier app account or a second rider you can call. Quote a realistic time to the customer.
- Keep a courier account connected, so you can book a rider in a minute.
- Build a small rider pool: invite riders by phone number and approve those who ask to link.
- Tell the customer the real time, not the time you hope for.
- Pause delivery for a while if nobody is free, and keep taking pickup orders.
A backup rider is one tap away
Assign your own rider, or book a Porter or Rapido rider from the same order, so a late rider does not hold up the next delivery.
