Why does Shopify charge an extra fee when I use Razorpay or another gateway?

Shopify adds a fee when you use another payment provider: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced, 0.2% on Plus.

• This fee is on top of the gateway's own charge, such as Razorpay's.
• It applies to third-party payment providers, not to Shopify's own payments.
• The percentage falls as you move to a higher Shopify plan.
• Add it to the gateway fee and the plan price when you compare costs.
• Check Shopify's pricing page for your country, because it can change.
