What do I do when a customer doesn't collect a WhatsApp pickup order?
Updated 9 October 2026
Message once and call once, then hold the food for a time you set. Put that rule in your confirmation, and take payment first on big orders so a no-show costs less.
- Write the hold time in the confirmation, for example how long you keep an order.
- Contact the customer twice, by message and by call, before you decide.
- Take payment first on large or custom orders.
- Note repeat no-shows and ask those customers to pay first next time.
A no-show has already paid
Each pickup order shows its status and customer contact in your dashboard, and online payment at checkout means a customer who does not come has already paid.
