Uber Eats charges restaurants in Germany 30% of the order when its couriers deliver (33% on orders from Uber One members), 14% when you deliver yourself (12% on Uber One orders) and 14% on pickup. Card processing is included, and 19% VAT is added to the fee.

Card processing
Included in the commission. Uber Eats lists payment processing in every plan, with no separate card fee.
VAT on the commission
Yes. Uber Eats' German terms say its fees exclude VAT and the restaurant pays VAT on top, at Germany's standard rate of 19%. A VAT-registered business can usually deduct it.
Activation fee
Uber's German terms provide for an activation fee, set in each restaurant's contract. The pricing page doesn't list an amount.
Lost or damaged tablet
€150 if a device Uber lends you is lost, stolen, returned late or damaged, unless you can show the loss was smaller.

Worth knowing
Same prices as in store. For restaurants that signed with Uber Eats after 3 November 2024, the terms say app prices are your in-store prices, and Uber may change app prices that differ.
Uber Eats works out its percentage on the item price including VAT, so the commission is taken from the VAT-inclusive amount.
Uber's German terms tie the Uber One rate to members' benefits: if a restaurant pays the same fee on members' orders as on others, Uber may withhold members' usual benefits on its orders.
