Menuthere vs BentoBox
BentoBox is now part of Clover: its pricing page says its products are only available to Clover POS customers, and it has never published prices. Menuthere works without any POS, is free to start, and costs $17 a month on Lite and $39 on Pro, with 0% commission. BentoBox does more for a full-service restaurant, with designed websites, catering, gift cards and reservations.

Where each one wins
BentoBox and Menuthere both take commission-free orders on the restaurant's own website. They differ on who can sign up, on what the price is, and on how much a full-service restaurant gets.
Where BentoBox wins
- A designed restaurant website, with an onboarding manager and design revisions included in setup.
- Online catering and group ordering with lead times, pacing and spend limits. Menuthere has no catering module.
- Gift cards, reservations, a digital waitlist and event management from the same vendor.
- Email and SMS marketing in its core platform. Menuthere has no email or text marketing automation.
- If you already run Clover POS, BentoBox comes from the same company and takes payments through Clover.
Where Menuthere wins
- Anyone can sign up: Menuthere doesn't need Clover or any other POS.
- Published prices: Free, Lite $17 a month and Pro $39 a month. BentoBox quotes every plan.
- Start today with no sales call and no card: the Free plan takes 50 orders a month.
- QR table ordering for dine-in on every plan, and WhatsApp ordering on your own number on Pro.
- Your own customer app on Android and iOS on the Branded App plan, $99 a month. BentoBox doesn't list a branded app.
Moving from BentoBox to Menuthere
Import your menu
Upload a photo or PDF of your menu and Menuthere's AI import builds it, with sizes and add-ons you can check and edit.
Set up ordering and payments
On Lite, connect your own Stripe account for card payments and draw delivery zones on a map. Print kitchen tickets on a thermal printer, and use Uber Direct on your own account if you need drivers.
Move your links, then give notice
Point your domain to Menuthere, update your Google Business Profile and print new QR codes. BentoBox's FAQ asks for 30 days' notice to cancel, so plan the switch around it.
The bottom line
Pick BentoBox if you already run Clover POS and want a designed website with ordering, catering, gift cards, reservations and email marketing from one vendor, and you're happy to get a quote through a specialist.
Pick Menuthere if you're not on Clover, or you want your own ordering website and QR table ordering at a published, low price. Lite is $17 a month, Pro is $39 a month with WhatsApp ordering and loyalty, and there is 0% commission on every plan. If you want your own app in the stores, the Branded App plan is $99 a month.
Menuthere doesn't have catering ordering, gift cards, email or text marketing, POS integrations or a kitchen display screen. If you rely on those, BentoBox or another system on our BentoBox alternatives list will fit better.
