Foodhub fees in the UK: monthly fees, commission and contract (2026)
Updated 19 October 2026
Short answer: Foodhub does not publish a UK price list. A takeaway pays a one-off set-up fee, a regular rental for the EPOS and/or online ordering, and card transaction fees on online orders. Foodhub says it takes no commission on your own orders. Its current website terms (dated 27 March 2026) set an 8-week initial period, then rolling 12-month periods, with at least 30 days' written notice. Get every figure in writing before you sign.
This guide explains each Foodhub fee, what its own terms say, and how the cost compares with Just Eat and with running your own ordering page. All facts were checked on 11 October 2026.
Foodhub fees at a glance
| Cost | What Foodhub publishes | What to ask for |
|---|---|---|
| Set-up / installation fee | Charged. Amount set in your agreement form. Refundable only if you cancel within the 8-week initial period. | The exact £ figure, and what it covers |
| Rental (EPOS, online ordering, app) | Charged. Amount set in your agreement form. The current terms set a weekly rental, inclusive of VAT, billed in arrears. An older retailer terms PDF described monthly payments. | The weekly £ figure, and what it covers |
| Commission on your own orders | "No commission on your own orders" (online ordering page) | Written confirmation that 0% applies to every channel you use |
| Card transaction fees | Charged by Foodhub's payment partner, Datman. A Foodhub help article lists 3.4% + 20p for UK and Ireland online transactions | Your rate for online, card machine and Amex |
| Delivery commission | Foodhub says delivery commission is "up to 18.25% lower than other platforms". No rate is given. | The % you pay if Foodhub delivers |
| SMS and communication charges | Listed in the terms. Price per message set in your agreement form, and SMS must be prepaid. | Price per message? |
| Third-party integration (Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats into one screen) | Charged since 2023 (per the 2023 retailer terms). Priced per order by volume, with a monthly minimum. | The per-order price and the minimum |
| Lost or damaged equipment | £500 fee to repair or replace kit that is lost, damaged or not working, and £500 if kit under two years old isn't returned | Get a kit list at handover |
The current terms define the weekly rental as inclusive of VAT. The older retailer terms PDF stated charges excluding VAT, so ask which applies to your agreement form.
What is Foodhub (and what happened to Touch2Success)?
Foodhub is a takeaway technology company with its UK office in Stoke-on-Trent. It runs two things that are easy to mix up:
- foodhub.co.uk and the Foodhub app. A consumer marketplace where people order from local takeaways. Most "Foodhub" searches in the UK are from diners.
- Foodhub for Business (foodhubforbusiness.com). The merchant side: EPOS, a branded website and app, kiosks, card machines, kitchen screens and integrations.
The business grew out of Touch2Success (T2S), which built websites and EPOS for takeaways. Food Hub Limited was incorporated in February 2017 (Companies House), and the company now trades mainly as Foodhub. You still see the T2S name on some products, such as the "T2S Digital Board". Foodhub's current terms are with Food Hub Limited, so check the company name on your paperwork.
Foodhub says it has 30,000+ restaurant partners globally (not UK-only).
How Foodhub charges a takeaway
1. A one-off set-up fee
You pay a set-up or installation fee when you sign. The amount is on your agreement form. Under clause 6.12 of Foodhub's current terms, the set-up fee is refundable only if you cancel within the 8-week initial period. It is not refundable in any other case. (The older retailer terms PDF made it non-refundable outright.)
2. Rental: the "Foodhub monthly fee"
This is the main cost. Foodhub says it does not sell EPOS systems. It rents them, along with the online ordering software. The rental is fixed, so it does not rise with your order count.
There is no public UK price. Foodhub's sites only show a promotion: "2 months free EPOS rental" (seen on 11 October 2026). The current terms set the rental as a weekly sum, inclusive of VAT, due on a weekly payment date (Monday by default). Ask:
- What is the weekly figure?
- Does it include the website, the app, the EPOS and the card machine, or are they separate?
- Is the price fixed for the whole contract?
3. Card transaction fees
Online card payments go through Foodhub's payment partner. Foodhub's help centre names Datman as its online payment partner and lists 3.4% + 20p per transaction for the UK and Ireland. Your contract rate may differ. It also says online takings are paid out every Tuesday, once your Datman account is verified. Foodhub's payments page says most card-machine merchants get funds within 24 hours.
These fees apply to every card order, including orders from your own website. So "0% commission" does not mean "0% cost per order".
4. Delivery
If Foodhub's own delivery service fulfils an order, a delivery commission applies. Foodhub says it is "up to 18.25% lower than other platforms" but gives no rate. Ask for the exact percentage.
5. Extras: SMS and integrations
- SMS and communication charges are listed in the terms. SMS is prepaid, at the price in your agreement form.
- Third-party integration (TPI). If you want Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats orders on your Foodhub screen, Foodhub's 2023 retailer terms say it has charged for this since February 2023. The price is per order, falls as volume rises, and has a monthly minimum. You can opt out in writing at any time.
Does Foodhub charge commission?
On your own orders, Foodhub says no. Its online ordering page says there is "no commission on your own orders", and its EPOS FAQ says there is no commission on orders. That is the core of the Foodhub pitch. In 2020 its chief executive called the company the only major takeaway platform not to charge commission on orders.
But be careful with the wording:
- Foodhub's delivery service is commission-based.
- Its savings calculator compares Foodhub against a 17% commission. That is the competitor figure, not a Foodhub rate.
- Some takeaway owners on Trustpilot say they were charged commission or service charges. These are individual reviews and are not verified.
Bottom line: ask Foodhub to write down, for each channel (your website, your app, the Foodhub marketplace, Foodhub delivery), the % fee and the fixed fee per order.
Foodhub contract terms: what the small print says
These points come from Foodhub's Terms and Conditions on foodhubforbusiness.com, dated 27 March 2026 (read 11 October 2026). Your own agreement form can override them, so read both.
- Minimum period: an 8-week initial period, then rolling 12-month periods (clause 5.1).
- Notice: at least 30 days' written notice, ending on the last day of the initial period or of a 12-month period. Notice that doesn't follow these rules is void, and the contract carries on (clauses 14.1 to 14.3).
- Set-up fee: refundable only if you cancel within the initial period (clause 6.12).
- Payments: a weekly rental, inclusive of VAT, due on a weekly payment date (Monday by default) and billed weekly in arrears.
- Equipment: return the kit by the end of your term, in its original packaging where possible. A £500 fee applies to repair or replace kit that is lost, damaged or not working, and a £500 charge applies if kit under two years old isn't returned (clauses 11.1 and 11.2).
- Customer data: the terms say Foodhub acts as a data controller, and that you act only on its instructions when you process personal data for it (clause 15.1). In plain terms, Foodhub controls the customer data. If owning your customer list matters to you, ask about this before signing.
An older set of terms is still online. Foodhub's site also links a Retailer General Terms and Conditions PDF (created April 2023). It sets a 4-month trial, then a 12-month rolling contract, 30 business days' notice, a non-refundable set-up fee, and a minimum food hygiene rating of 1 star. Ask Foodhub which set of terms your agreement form uses.
Tip: a 12-month rolling contract can renew if you miss the notice window. Put the notice date in your calendar on day one.
Worked example: Foodhub vs Just Eat vs your own ordering page
A takeaway takes 600 orders a month at an average of £22. That is £13,200 in sales. 80% of orders (480) are paid by card online.
| Just Eat (own drivers) | Foodhub (own website + app) | Your own ordering page (e.g. Menuthere Lite) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commission | 14% = £1,848 | £0 | £0 |
| VAT on commission (20%) | £369.60 (reclaimable if VAT-registered) | £0 | £0 |
| Card fees | Included in commission | 480 × (3.4% of £22 + 20p) = £455.04 (Foodhub's listed online rate) | Stripe UK 1.5% + 20p: 480 × (£0.33 + £0.20) = £254.40 |
| Fixed fee | None quoted | Weekly rental (quote only, not published) | US$17 a month on Lite (billed in US dollars) |
| Total per month | £2,217.60 | £455.04 + rental | £254.40 + US$17 plan fee |
Just Eat figures use the 14% own-delivery rate on Menuthere's Just Eat UK page. Stripe fees use Stripe's published rate for standard UK cards. Premium and non-UK cards cost more.
What the sums don't show:
- Just Eat and the Foodhub marketplace can bring new customers. Your own page does not do that on its own. You still need Google, social media, leaflets and your shop window.
- Foodhub's rental is fixed, so it hurts more in a quiet month and less in a busy one.
- Foodhub includes EPOS hardware. An ordering page like Menuthere does not replace a full EPOS.

Foodhub for restaurants: pros and cons
Pros
- No percentage commission on your own website and app orders (per Foodhub).
- One supplier for EPOS, card machine, website, app, kiosk and kitchen screen.
- A listing on the Foodhub consumer app, which can bring new customers.
- Integrates Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats orders into one screen (paid add-on).
- Foodhub advertises 24/7 human support.
Cons
- No public UK price list, so it is hard to compare.
- An 8-week initial period rolls into 12-month periods, and your notice must end on the right date.
- Its listed online card fee (3.4% + 20p) is higher than Stripe's published rate for standard UK cards (1.5% + 20p).
- The set-up fee is refundable only if you leave in the initial period, and a £500 equipment fee applies if kit is lost, damaged, not working or not returned.
- Foodhub is the data controller under its terms.
- Its Trustpilot page ("Foodhub For Business UK") scores 1.6 out of 5 from 131 reviews. Most reviews are from diners about late or wrong orders, but some owners mention billing and cancellation problems.
How to become a Foodhub partner
- Request a demo or quote on foodhubforbusiness.com, or call the sales team.
- Choose your products: EPOS, online ordering, app, kiosk, card machine, delivery, integrations.
- Get the agreement form. This is where the set-up fee, rental, transaction fees and SMS charges are written.
- Sign and set up. Foodhub's EPOS FAQ says set-up takes a few hours.
- Verify your payments account (Datman for online payments), so payouts can start.
- Go live on your website, app and the Foodhub marketplace.
Checklist: questions to ask before you partner with Foodhub
- What is the set-up fee, and is it refundable?
- What is the rental, weekly or monthly, ex or inc VAT?
- What % and fixed fee apply to card orders online, in person and on Amex?
- What commission applies to Foodhub marketplace orders and to Foodhub delivery?
- What does the third-party integration cost, and what is the monthly minimum?
- How long is the minimum term, and when exactly must I give notice?
- Can I export my customer list and order history if I leave?
- Which kit do I return, and how?
Foodhub vs going direct: where Menuthere fits
Foodhub suits a takeaway that wants one supplier for everything, including EPOS hardware, and is happy with a fixed rental and a contract. Our guide to EPOS for takeaways helps you choose between a full EPOS and a lighter set-up.
If you already have a till and just want a commission-free way for customers to order, an ordering layer can be cheaper and more flexible. Menuthere is one option. To be clear about what it is and isn't:
- 0% commission on every plan. Card payments go through your own Stripe account, so Stripe's fee applies and the money goes to you.
- Free plan: an ordering website and QR codes, with up to 50 orders a month. Lite (US$17 a month) adds unlimited orders, your own domain and Stripe payments. 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro: you add a card to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. No long contract: cancel or switch at any time.
- WhatsApp ordering on your own number, with automatic order updates, is a Pro feature. Meta charges for WhatsApp messages separately.
- Not a full EPOS. In-store counter billing is a POS add-on (US$10 a month), not a full till. It is not a marketplace, so it won't list you next to other takeaways.
- Want your own app, as Foodhub offers? Menuthere's Branded App plan (US$99 a month) builds your takeaway's own Android and iOS app and publishes it under your name, with Apple's and Google's store fees included and 0% commission. See the restaurant app builder.

Many owners use both models: a marketplace for new customers, and their own page for regulars. Read our guide to Just Eat alternatives for how to move regulars across, and compare Deliveroo's fees and Uber Eats' commission.

FAQs
What are Foodhub's monthly fees in the UK?
Foodhub does not publish them. You pay a fixed rental for the EPOS and/or online ordering, set in your agreement form. Its current terms set the rental as a weekly sum, inclusive of VAT. Ask for the figure in writing.
Does Foodhub take commission?
Foodhub says there is no commission on your own website and app orders. Card transaction fees still apply, and Foodhub's delivery service is commission-based. Get every per-order fee in writing.
How much are Foodhub's card fees?
A Foodhub help article lists 3.4% + 20p per online transaction for the UK and Ireland, through its payment partner Datman. Your contract rate may differ, so check your agreement form.
How long is a Foodhub contract?
Foodhub's current terms (27 March 2026) set an 8-week initial period, then rolling 12-month periods. You must give at least 30 days' written notice, ending on the last day of a period. The set-up fee is refundable only if you cancel in the initial period. An older 2023 terms PDF set a 4-month trial instead, so check which terms your agreement uses.
Is Foodhub the same as Touch2Success?
Yes, broadly. Foodhub grew out of Touch2Success (T2S), a Stoke-on-Trent business that built websites and EPOS for takeaways. Contracts are now with Food Hub Limited, and some products still carry the T2S name.
How do I become a Foodhub partner?
Book a demo or request a quote on foodhubforbusiness.com, choose your products, sign the agreement form and verify your payments account. Read the agreement form closely, because that is where your fees are set.
Is Foodhub cheaper than Just Eat?
Often, for a busy takeaway, because the rental is fixed and Just Eat charges a percentage (14% + VAT with your own drivers). In a quiet month, a fixed rental can cost more per order. Run the sums with your own order numbers.
Can I use Foodhub and my own ordering website together?
Yes. Foodhub's 2023 retailer terms describe a non-exclusive relationship, and its current terms refer to orders through your own website or app. Check your agreement form for any limits, and remember the rental is due whatever you use.
