Snoonu commission · Qatar · checked October 2026

What Snoonu charges restaurants in Qatar.

Snoonu doesn't publish its commission in Qatar, but Qatari rules cap what a delivery app can charge a restaurant at 19% of the order value when the app delivers and 10% when it doesn't, with no other charges allowed on top. Your contract can set a lower rate.

On top of the commission

  • Card processing

Qatar's 2020 decision bars apps from charging restaurants any other percentage or sum, under any name, so card and payment costs have to fit inside the 19% (10% if you deliver). Snoonu doesn't publish a separate card fee.

  • Refunds

Snoonu's merchant terms say the commission and fees in your partner agreement still apply to refunded orders, whether the fault was yours or Snoonu's delivery or systems. You refund the items when the fault is yours, with evidence required; Snoonu covers delivery fees and tips.

  • Promotions

Under the 2026 guideline, discounts and promotions must be licensed by the ministry before they run, and paid rankings must be labelled as paid.

  • Payouts

Snoonu's merchant terms refer to a monthly net sales statement, from which refunds are deducted.

Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. Snoonu agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your Snoonu payout statement is the source of truth. The direct column assumes every order is paid by card at about 3%, before your ordering plan's fee; cash and pay-at-counter orders cost nothing. Worth knowing

What else sets your Snoonu bill in Qatar.

Commission cap. Since April 2020, a decision of Qatar's committee for maximum prices (No. 3 of 2020) has limited what a delivery app can charge a restaurant to 19% of the order value when it markets and delivers the order, and 10% when it only markets it. Apps may not add any other percentage or charge, under any name.

Increases need approval. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry restated the 10% and 19% rates in February 2022. It said no increase is allowed without the committee's prior approval, and told restaurants not to sign contracts above them. Breaking the consumer protection law can bring a fine of up to QAR 1 million and a three-month closure.

Delivery fee. The 2020 decision capped the customer's delivery charge at QAR 10. The ministry's 2022 statement gave QAR 10 for delivery by bike and QAR 20 by car.

2026 guideline. The ministry's April 2026 guideline for delivery apps requires every commission, fee and deduction to be written into your contract, bans hidden charges, and needs your written approval for any change. You may charge different prices on the apps and in your restaurant, apps may not change your prices or discounts without your consent, and paid rankings must be labelled. The guideline doesn't restate the 19% cap, and we found nothing that withdraws it.

Snoonu started in Qatar. Jahez, the Saudi delivery app, completed its purchase of 76.56% of Snoonu in October 2025, and Snoonu is now the Jahez group's main platform outside Saudi Arabia. It launched in Kuwait in May 2026 and in Oman in the second quarter of 2026.

SADAD, a Qatari payments firm, said in February 2026 that talabat and Snoonu hold about 75% of Qatar's delivery market. Keeta launched in Doha in August 2025, and DoorDash announced in February 2026 that it would close Deliveroo in Qatar.

Jahez doesn't break out Snoonu's take rate. Its take rate in Saudi Arabia was 16.5% in the second quarter of 2026.

Questions

Snoonu commission in Qatar, answered.

Yes, at a lower rate than delivery: 10% (Legal maximum). A pickup order skips the courier, so the platform charges less for it.

Qatar's 2020 decision bars apps from charging restaurants any other percentage or sum, under any name, so card and payment costs have to fit inside the 19% (10% if you deliver). Snoonu doesn't publish a separate card fee. Refunds: Snoonu's merchant terms say the commission and fees in your partner agreement still apply to refunded orders, whether the fault was yours or Snoonu's delivery or systems. Match the plan to how you sell: a lower-commission plan usually means a smaller delivery area or less visibility in the app, and pickup orders cost less than delivery. Then give your regulars a direct way to order. An order placed on your own ordering page carries no commission, only your card processor's fee when the customer pays by card, so every regular who switches keeps the commission in your business. Keep Snoonu for finding new customers.

No. Menuthere takes 0% commission on every plan. The free plan gives you your own ordering website, a QR code menu and table ordering, with 50 orders a month included. Lite ($17 a month) removes the order limit and adds your own domain; Pro ($39 a month) adds WhatsApp ordering on your own number, loyalty and your own riders.
