Is exclusivity with delivery apps banned anywhere?
Updated 18 October 2026
In some places, yes. Morocco banned exclusivity clauses in Glovo contracts, Brazil limits iFood's exclusive deals, and Hong Kong lets restaurants switch from exclusive to non-exclusive terms without penalty.
- Morocco: exclusivity clauses are banned for Glovo under a July 2025 settlement.
- Brazil: iFood may not sign exclusivity with chains of 30 or more restaurants.
- Hong Kong: foodpanda and Keeta must let restaurants leave exclusive terms without penalty.
- Elsewhere: read your contract; rules differ by country.
Never exclusive with your own link
Your own ordering link is always yours alone, with no exclusivity and 0% commission.
