Free cocktail menu template
Updated October 20, 2026
Open our free cocktail menu template, add your drinks and prices, and download a print-ready PDF: it's the Fine dining design, centered and minimal, in deep violet with a serif heading, and three sections: signatures, classics and zero proof, each drink with one line of ingredients. No sign-up, no email and no watermark. Below: how to price a cocktail from its pour cost, how strong each one is, and why the egg-white sour carries an asterisk.
In short
- The template: Fine dining layout, violet, centered; Signatures, Classics, Zero proof.
- Raw egg white in a sour is a raw animal food under the FDA Food Code: star it and add the reminder, or use pasteurized egg white.
- Strength: standard drinks = ounces of spirit × ABV ÷ 0.6. A 2-oz pour of 45% bourbon is 1.5 drinks.
- Spirits cost more: distilled spirits away from home rose 3.3% in the 12 months to September 2026 (BLS).
What's in the cocktail menu template
It opens as "The Velvet Room".
| Section | Example drinks | One line each |
|---|---|---|
| Signatures | Midnight Garden, Smoke Signal, Velvet Sour* | Gin, elderflower, cucumber, lime; mezcal, Aperol, grapefruit, agave; bourbon, lemon, raw egg white* |
| Classics | Old Fashioned, Negroni, Daiquiri, Espresso Martini | The base spirit first |
| Zero proof | Garden Tonic, Ginger Fizz | Non-alcoholic, priced lower |
The foot of the page reads "* Regarding the safety of these items, written information is available upon request." Keep it only if you can hand over that information; the Food Code also allows "Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness." For a beer and spirits list, use the bar menu template.
Worked example: pricing from pour cost
Pour cost is what the drink's ingredients cost as a share of its price.
| Drink | Ingredients (example costs) | Cost | Price | Pour cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Old Fashioned | 2 oz bourbon at $1.10/oz, bitters, sugar, orange $0.25 | $2.45 | $14 | 17.5% |
| Daiquiri | 2 oz rum at $0.70/oz, lime and syrup $0.35 | $1.75 | $13 | 13.5% |
| Smoke Signal | 1.5 oz mezcal at $1.60/oz, 0.5 oz Aperol $0.40, grapefruit, agave $0.40 | $3.20 | $16 | 20.0% |
| Garden Tonic (zero proof) | Cucumber, basil, syrup, tonic $0.90 | $0.90 | $9 | 10.0% |
The costs are examples; your bottle prices go in the menu price calculator. Price each drink from its own cost, not one price for every cocktail: the mezcal drink costs nearly twice the daiquiri.
How strong is each cocktail?
A US standard drink has about 0.6 fl oz of pure alcohol (NIAAA). Add up the alcohol in each spirit:
| Drink (example recipe) | Alcohol | Standard drinks |
|---|---|---|
| Old Fashioned, 2 oz bourbon at 45% | 0.90 oz | 1.5 |
| Daiquiri, 2 oz rum at 40% | 0.80 oz | 1.3 |
| Negroni, 1 oz gin at 40% + 1 oz bitter liqueur at 24% + 1 oz vermouth at 16% | 0.80 oz | 1.3 |
| Garden Tonic | 0 | 0 |
Check the ABV on your own bottles; brands differ. Some states regulate this side of the menu too: Massachusetts, for example, bars increasing the alcohol in a drink without a matching price increase, so "double for the price of a single" is out there.
Raw egg white: the advisory
The FDA Food Code 2026 (§ 3-603.11) asks for a consumer advisory when animal foods, eggs included, are served raw or not otherwise processed to eliminate pathogens. Shaken egg white in a sour isn't cooked. Two options:
- Keep raw egg white: say so in the description ("raw egg white"), star the drink, and add the reminder footnote, as the template does.
- Use pasteurized egg white or aquafaba: then no advisory is needed for that drink. Write "pasteurized egg white" or "aquafaba (chickpea)" in the line so guests with egg allergies know. Egg is one of the FDA's 9 major allergens either way, except with aquafaba.

FAQs
Is this cocktail menu template free?
Yes. Edit it and download it as a PDF or an image for free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
What should a cocktail menu include?
Each drink's name, its base spirit and two or three main ingredients, and the price. Group signatures, classics and zero-proof drinks, and add a consumer advisory if any drink has raw egg.
Do cocktails with raw egg white need a warning?
Under the FDA Food Code, yes: a raw egg white is a raw animal food, so the drink needs a disclosure and a reminder footnote. Pasteurized egg white or aquafaba avoids it.
How do I calculate pour cost?
Add up what each ingredient in the drink costs you and divide by the menu price. An Old Fashioned with $2.45 of ingredients sold at $14 has a 17.5% pour cost.
Is there a cocktail menu template for Google Docs?
The menu maker downloads PDFs and images. Use the copy-ready layout on this page in Google Docs or Word.
