UpMenu says all prices are net of VAT, so add 20% in the UK. You pick at least one of Web Ordering, Mobile App, Marketplace Integrations or Driver App, then add modules. Other modules on UpMenu's card, priced in US dollars there, include Delivery Services ($40), Reservations ($9), Loyalty Program ($19), Tableside Ordering ($19), Marketing Tools ($9) and Inventory ($9), each per location. POS integrations are free.
What changed since June 2026

Card fees
| Payment option | UK rate |
|---|---|
| UpMenu Payments (run with Adyen), domestic consumer cards | 1.59% + £0.15 |
| UpMenu Payments, Amex | 3.39% + £0.10 |
| UpMenu Payments, commercial and foreign cards | +1.5% |
| Your own Stripe account | Stripe's fee (1.5% + 20p on standard UK cards) plus UpMenu's 0.38% integration fee |

Worked example: a UK takeaway on UpMenu
One location, 300 online orders a month at £25 (£7,500 a month), with its own delivery drivers.
| Line | UpMenu, a month | Menuthere Pro, a month |
|---|---|---|
| Ordering for 300 orders | £169 (top tier; the 75- and 210-order tiers are too small) | US$39 (unlimited orders) |
| Driver app | £19 | Included in Pro |
| Branded mobile app (optional) | £49 | Branded App plan: US$99 instead of Pro |
| Commission | 0% | 0% |
| Card fees, Stripe on standard UK cards | £172.50 + 0.38% integration fee (£28.50) = £201 | £172.50 (no Menuthere fee on top) |
| Total without the app | £188 + VAT, plus £201 card fees | US$39, plus £172.50 card fees |
At 300 orders a month the cap decides the tier: on the 210-order tier, the 90 orders above it would be charged one by one. Menuthere Lite (US$17) and Pro have no order cap; the Free plan stops at 50 orders a month.
Delivery and your own drivers
UpMenu's Driver App lets staff see orders and drivers on a live map, with orders assigned by hand or claimed by drivers (UpMenu help centre). Its Delivery Services module books third-party couriers, and it integrates with couriers such as Uber Direct, Stuart and DoorDash Drive.
Menuthere Pro includes a rider app for iPhone and Android with a live map for customers, and WhatsApp order updates from your own number. You assign each order to a rider with one tap; there's no auto-assignment or route planning, and no per-delivery fee from Menuthere. See the rider app. UpMenu's help centre had no WhatsApp articles when we checked in October 2026; it messages customers by email, SMS or app notification.
When UpMenu is the better choice
- You want reservations, inventory or marketplace order syncing in the same tool. UpMenu sells them as modules; Menuthere has table booking on Lite but no inventory, and doesn't pull Just Eat or Deliveroo orders into one screen.
- You want a done-for-you setup. UpMenu's free setup service builds the store, menu and delivery zones.
- Your volume is small and steady. Under 75 orders a month, the £49 entry tier is a simple flat price.
When Menuthere fits better
- Your order count varies. Menuthere has no order caps on Lite (US$17) or Pro (US$39), billed in US dollars.
- You want riders, WhatsApp and loyalty in one plan rather than per-location modules (Pro).
- You want to start free. The Free plan has 50 orders a month and no card; Lite and Pro have a 7-day trial that needs a card. See pricing.
Other UK options with published prices: Flipdish pricing (Website plan from £49 a month per site billed annually, on a 12-month contract) and Slerp pricing (£125 to £250 a month per site). For a ranked list, see the best online ordering systems in the UK and UpMenu alternatives.
