PosBytz alternatives for restaurants that want riders without switching POS
Updated October 20, 2026
The best PosBytz alternative depends on whether you want to change your POS. PosBytz is a restaurant POS from India, sold across India and the Gulf, whose rider app is "included at no extra cost with your PosBytz subscription", with manual or automatic assignment, route optimisation, photo and signature proof of delivery, and automatic WhatsApp or SMS updates (PosBytz delivery app page, read October 20, 2026). It doesn't show prices: you ask for an estimate. Menuthere gives you ordering, WhatsApp order updates from your own number and a rider app for $39 a month on Pro, without changing your POS, but you assign each order by hand. If you want dispatch automation on top of your current system, Tookan and Shipday are the closer swaps.
In short
- PosBytz is a POS first. Online ordering, branded apps, aggregator integrations and the rider app come with a PosBytz subscription.
- No published prices. The pricing page says "Tailored pricing" based on "the software you need, your size, and your hardware", with an estimate in 24 hours. No per-order fees or commission.
- Its rider app does more than Menuthere's: automatic assignment, route optimisation and photo and signature proof of delivery. It's an Android app.
- Menuthere's rider app runs on iPhone and Android with a live map for customers, but riders are assigned by hand, with no route optimisation or proof of delivery.
- Menuthere doesn't replace a POS and has published prices: Free, Lite $17, Pro $39 and Branded App $99 a month, billed in US dollars.

Worked example: a restaurant with 3 riders and 600 deliveries a month
A restaurant in Dubai already has a POS it likes and wants online ordering, WhatsApp order updates and its own 3 riders. Before card fees and rider wages.
| What you'd pay | Switch to PosBytz | Keep your POS + Menuthere Pro |
|---|---|---|
| POS | PosBytz subscription (quote), replacing your current POS | Your current POS, unchanged |
| Online ordering and website | Included with PosBytz | Included |
| Rider app | Included | Included (iPhone and Android) |
| Dispatch | Manual or automatic assignment, route optimisation, proof of delivery | You assign each order by hand |
| WhatsApp updates | WhatsApp Business API through PosBytz | From your own WhatsApp number; Meta bills each message to you at its rate for your country, with no markup |
| Software price you can see today | Not published | $39 a month, or $390 a year |
If PosBytz's quote for your size is close to what you pay for your current POS, switching may give you more delivery automation for the money. If you'd rather not change POS, Menuthere adds ordering and riders alongside it. In the Gulf, Menuthere doesn't send its orders into your POS, so staff work from Menuthere's dashboard and partner app for online orders.
When is PosBytz the better choice?
- You want a new POS anyway. PosBytz brings billing, inventory, online ordering, aggregator orders and riders into one system.
- You need dispatch automation. Automatic assignment, route optimisation and photo and signature proof of delivery are built into its rider app. Menuthere has none of these.
- You take a lot of aggregator orders. Talabat, Careem, Uber Eats and Deliveroo orders flow into the PosBytz POS. Menuthere doesn't pull in delivery-app orders.
- You want SMS as well as WhatsApp. PosBytz sends updates by WhatsApp or SMS; Menuthere has no SMS.
When is Menuthere the better choice?
- You don't want to change POS. Menuthere runs alongside what you have, with nothing to install at the counter.
- You want prices up front. Free, Lite $17, Pro $39 and Branded App $99 a month, with a free plan that takes 50 orders a month and no card.
- Your riders use iPhones too. The Menuthere Delivery app runs on iPhone and Android, and customers follow the rider on a live map without installing anything. See can customers track my own rider live without an app?
- You want WhatsApp from your own number. On Pro the ordering bot and order updates run on your own official WhatsApp number, and the "dispatched" message carries a Track Order button.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best PosBytz alternative?
It depends on whether you want to change POS. If you're happy with your POS and want ordering, WhatsApp updates and a rider app, Menuthere Pro is $39 a month with riders assigned by hand. If you want dispatch automation on top of your current system, Tookan and Shipday add auto-assignment and route optimisation.
How much does PosBytz cost?
PosBytz doesn't show prices on its pricing page. It says the price depends on the software you need, your size and your hardware, and that it scales with outlets, registers and order volume; you request an estimate. It charges no per-order fees or commission and offers a 14-day free trial with no card.
Is the PosBytz rider app free?
PosBytz says its rider app is included at no extra cost with a PosBytz subscription, with no per-delivery fees. It is an Android app with manual or automatic assignment, route optimisation and photo and signature proof of delivery.
Does Menuthere work with my existing POS?
Outside India, Menuthere has no POS integrations, so it runs alongside your POS: online and QR orders arrive in Menuthere's dashboard and partner app. Menuthere also sells a basic POS add-on for $10 a month. Check before you sign up whether your POS needs to receive online orders directly.
Does Menuthere auto-assign orders to riders?
No. On Menuthere Pro you assign each order to one of your own riders from the Orders screen, and the rider gets a push notification in the Menuthere Delivery app on iPhone or Android. Menuthere has no auto-dispatch, route optimisation or proof of delivery.
