Slice pricing for pizzerias in 2026: what the per-order fees add up to
Updated October 20, 2026
Slice charges pizzerias a monthly plan plus a flat fee on every order of $10 or more: $39 a month + $3.00 per credit card order on the Online Growth Plan, or $99 a month + $2.00 per online or phone order on the Complete Growth Plan, which also has a $1,000 implementation fee (Slice pricing page, read October 20, 2026). Card processing is 2.90% + $0.30 on top, and Flex Delivery drivers start at $6.90 an order. The monthly fee is small; at a busy pizzeria, the per-order fee is most of the bill.
In short
- Two plans. Online Growth ($39 + $3 per card order) for online ordering only; Complete Growth ($99 + $2 per online or phone order) adds the Slice POS, phone ordering and in-store.
- No fee on small orders. Orders under $10 carry no per-order fee on either plan.
- The fee is flat, not a percentage. On a $30 order, $3 is 10% of the ticket; on a $12 order it is 25%.
- At 600 card orders a month, Slice's per-order fees are $1,800 (Online) or $1,200 (Complete) a month, before card processing.
- Slice is worth it if you want a pizza POS, phone agents who take your calls, and backup drivers in one month-to-month plan.

What fees come on top of the plan?

Two details change the maths. On the Online plan only card orders are charged, so cash-at-pickup orders carry no per-order fee. On the Complete plan, phone orders are charged too, even though Slice's agents answer those calls for you.
Worked example: 600 online orders a month at $30
A US pizzeria takes 600 online orders a month, all paid by card online, at an average of $30. Every order is over $10, so every order carries Slice's fee. Card volume is $18,000 a month: 2.90% × $18,000 = $522, plus 600 × $0.30 = $180, so $702 in card processing on Slice's published rate.
| Line | Online Growth, monthly | Complete Growth, monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | $39 | $99 |
| Per-order fees | 600 × $3.00 = $1,800 | 600 × $2.00 = $1,200 |
| Card processing (2.90% + $0.30) | $702 | $702 |
| Monthly total | $2,541 | $2,001 |
| Implementation (one-off) | $0 | $1,000 |
| First year | $30,492 | $25,012 |
Per-order fees dominate. On the Online plan, $1,800 of the $2,541 is per-order fees, about 71% of the bill; on Complete, $1,200 of $2,001, about 60%. Per $30 order, the Online plan costs $3.00 + $0.87 + $0.30 = $4.17, or 13.9% of the ticket; Complete costs $3.17, or 10.6%.
Which Slice plan is cheaper? Monthly fees match at 60 card orders ($39 + 60 × $3 = $219 = $99 + 60 × $2). Counting the $1,000 implementation over the first year (about $83 a month), Complete becomes cheaper above about 144 orders a month.
Add backup drivers. If 200 of the 600 orders went out with Flex Delivery at its starting price, that is at least 200 × $6.90 = $1,380 a month more. Slice does not publish the price above that floor.
The same 600 orders on Menuthere Pro, with card payments on your own Stripe account at 2.9% + 30¢:
| Line | Menuthere Pro, monthly | Menuthere Pro, first year |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | $39 | $468 (or $390 billed yearly) |
| Per-order fee or commission | $0 | $0 |
| Card fees (Stripe 2.9% + 30¢) | $702 | $8,424 |
| Total | $741 | $8,892 (or $8,814 billed yearly) |
That is $1,260 a month less than Slice Complete and $1,800 less than Slice Online at this volume. The gap is almost exactly Slice's per-order fees, because the card rate is the same 2.9% + 30¢. But Menuthere Pro is not a POS, has no phone agents and no marketplace app, so compare what you would actually use.
When is Slice worth the price?
- You want a pizza POS and online ordering from one company. The Complete plan includes the hardware, in-person installation and 24/7 support. Menuthere has no POS hardware.
- Phone orders matter. Slice's team answers calls and enters orders, in English and Spanish. Menuthere has no phone ordering service.
- You want the Slice App audience. Slice also runs its own consumer ordering app, the Slice App; Menuthere has no marketplace.
- You need backup drivers and dispatch tools. Slice POS tracks in-house drivers with live GPS, and Flex Delivery adds Uber and DoorDash drivers on demand, with batching of nearby orders. Menuthere's own-rider delivery is assigned by hand, with no batching or route optimisation.
- Your tickets are small. Orders under $10 carry no Slice fee at all.
Slice is less of a fit for a high-volume shop whose average order is $25 to $40 and that doesn't need phone agents: the flat fee scales with every order.
How does Menuthere's pricing compare?
Menuthere charges no per-order fee and 0% commission on every plan: Free ($0, 50 orders a month), Lite ($17 a month, unlimited orders, card payments on your own Stripe account) and Pro ($39 a month). Pro adds your own riders with an iPhone and Android rider app and a live tracking map for customers, plus WhatsApp order updates from your own number. In the US, Meta does not deliver WhatsApp marketing messages to +1 numbers, so WhatsApp sends order updates (utility messages, about $0.0034 each, billed by Meta with no markup) but not promotions; use email for offers. More on that in WhatsApp ordering in the USA.
