UpMenu pricing in 2026: order caps, add-on modules and UpMenu Payments
Updated October 20, 2026
UpMenu charges per location, by module. Its Web Ordering module is $49 a month for 75 orders, $89 for 210 orders or $169 for unlimited orders, and each order or reservation over the limit costs $1.90. These prices come from UpMenu's pricing page as recorded on October 19, 2026; the page blocked us on October 20, 2026, and UpMenu's help center, read October 20, 2026, confirms the three tiers. A branded app, loyalty, reservations and a driver app are extra modules. Card payments run on UpMenu Payments at 2.79% + $0.19 for US consumer cards. For 600 online orders a month at $30, the unlimited tier plus card fees comes to about $800 a month per location.
In short
- Three Web Ordering tiers, per location: $49 (75 orders), $89 (210 orders), $169 (unlimited). $1.90 per extra order or reservation.
- Pick the tier by volume: $49 is cheapest up to 96 orders a month, $89 from 97 to 252, and $169 from 253 orders up.
- Turn on "Allow orders above limit" or your store stops taking online orders when you hit the cap.
- Modules cost extra: Mobile App $49, Driver App $19, Loyalty Program $19, Tableside Ordering $19, Delivery Services $40 and more, each per location per month.
- New payments: UpMenu Payments replaced Stripe on October 1, 2026. Stripe works only until December 31, 2026.
What does UpMenu cost in 2026?
UpMenu prices each location separately, billed monthly, before tax. You must buy at least one core module: Web Ordering, Mobile App, Marketplace Integrations or POS. US prices from UpMenu's pricing page as recorded October 19, 2026.
| Module | Price per location per month | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Web Ordering, 75 orders | $49 | Online ordering on your site, with a limit of 75 online orders and reservations a month; $1.90 for each one above |
| Web Ordering, 210 orders | $89 | Same, limit 210; $1.90 for each one above |
| Web Ordering, unlimited | $169 | No order limit |
| Mobile App | $49 | Your branded iOS and Android ordering app |
| Marketplace Integrations | $9 | Uber Eats, DoorDash and Just Eat orders in one panel |
| Driver App | $19 | App for your own drivers |
The help center (updated October 16, 2026) adds the rules: upgrades take effect at once with a prorated charge, downgrades start next billing period. Every location needs its own subscription and gets its own invoice. There is a 7-day free trial with no card, no contract and no setup fee, but "We don't offer refunds."
What fees come on top of the plan?
| Fee | What UpMenu publishes |
|---|---|
| Extra orders | $1.90 per online order or reservation above 75 or 210; none on unlimited |
| Card processing (UpMenu Payments, US) | 2.79% + $0.19 on domestic consumer Visa and Mastercard; 3.49% + $0.19 on American Express; +1.5% on commercial and foreign cards |
| Payouts and disputes | $0.49 per payout (daily, weekly or monthly, your choice); $14.90 per chargeback. A funds reserve stays in your payment account to cover refunds and disputes |
| Stripe (until December 31, 2026) | Stripe's own fees plus a 0.38% integration fee for accounts on Stripe Connect. After December 31, 2026 Stripe payments on UpMenu are turned off |
| Optional modules | Delivery Services $40, Website $1, Reservations $9, Loyalty Program $19, Marketing Tools $9, Inventory $9, Tableside Ordering $19; POS integrations free |
| Messages | SMS $0.08 and email $0.02 each (Marketing Tools) |
| Setup | None. UpMenu's free setup service builds your menu, branding, delivery zones and payments in about 5 to 7 business days (US, Canada, Australia, EU and South America) |
| Contract and cancellation | Monthly, cancel anytime, paid features run to the end of the period, no refunds. Annual billing only on request |
Which Web Ordering tier is cheapest?
The capped tiers look cheap until you pass the limit. Each extra order costs $1.90, so the bill climbs fast. Reservations count toward the same limit.
| Online orders a month | $49 tier (75 included) | $89 tier (210 included) | $169 unlimited | Cheapest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75 | $49.00 | $89.00 | $169.00 | $49 |
| 96 | $88.90 | $89.00 | $169.00 | $49, just |
| 150 | $191.50 | $89.00 | $169.00 | $89 |
| 210 | $305.50 | $89.00 | $169.00 | $89 |
| 252 | $385.30 | $168.80 | $169.00 | $89, just |
| 300 | $476.50 | $260.00 | $169.00 | $169 |
| 600 | $1,046.50 | $830.00 | $169.00 | $169 |
Rule of thumb: above 96 orders a month the $89 tier wins, and above 252 the unlimited tier wins. At 600 orders, staying on $89 would cost $661 a month more than unlimited.
The limit switch: in Settings → Plans, "Allow orders above limit" decides what happens at the cap. On, you keep taking orders and each extra one is added to your next invoice. Off, "your restaurant stops accepting online orders and reservations until the next billing period." Check this before a busy weekend.
Is UpMenu Payments cheaper than Stripe?
For US consumer cards, yes. UpMenu says its new payments are "Around 20-30% lower card payment fees than Stripe", depending on order value. Our arithmetic against Stripe's US list rate of 2.9% + 30¢ shows the saving is biggest on small orders:
| Order | UpMenu Payments (2.79% + $0.19) | Stripe list rate (2.9% + 30¢) | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $0.47 | $0.59 | about 20% |
| $30 | $1.03 | $1.17 | about 12% |
| $60 | $1.86 | $2.04 | about 9% |
Per order, rounded. American Express (3.49% + $0.19) and commercial or foreign cards (+1.5%) cost more, and each payout costs $0.49.
Worked example: 600 online orders a month at $30
One US location, 600 online orders a month, $30 average order, all paid online by domestic consumer Visa or Mastercard: $18,000 a month in card volume. Daily payouts (30 a month).
| Cost | UpMenu web only | UpMenu web + app | Menuthere Lite | Menuthere Branded App |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plan or modules | $169 | $169 + $49 = $218 | $17 | $99 |
| Extra-order fees | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Card fees | 2.79% × $18,000 = $502.20, plus 600 × $0.19 = $114, so $616.20 | $616.20 | $702 on your own Stripe account (2.9% × $18,000 = $522, plus 600 × 30¢ = $180) | $702 |
| Payout fees | 30 × $0.49 = $14.70 | $14.70 | Not included | Not included |
| Per month | $799.90 | $848.90 | $719 | $801 |
| Year one | $9,598.80 | $10,186.80 | $8,594 billed yearly | $9,414 billed yearly |
Yearly Menuthere totals use 10 months' price ($170 or $990) plus $8,424 of card fees. On UpMenu's $89 tier the same restaurant would pay $830 a month for Web Ordering alone ($89 plus $741 in extra-order fees). A UpMenu restaurant still on Stripe until December 31 would pay $702 + 0.38% × $18,000 = $770.40 a month in card fees.
What this shows: UpMenu's card rate is lower than Stripe's list rate, so on card fees alone UpMenu saves about $70 a month here. Its per-location module prices are what make the total higher. Add Loyalty ($19) or Driver App ($19) and the gap grows.
When is UpMenu worth the price?
- You want a modular build. Pay only for what you use: tableside ordering, reservations, inventory and a driver app are all available per location.
- You want delivery-app orders in one place. Marketplace Integrations ($9) brings Uber Eats, DoorDash and Just Eat orders into UpMenu. Menuthere does not combine delivery-app orders.
- You want it set up for you. The free setup service builds your store.
- You use Toast, Square or Clover. UpMenu lists POS integrations with them. Menuthere has no Toast, Square or Clover integration in the US.
- Your orders are small. UpMenu Payments' lower fixed fee saves the most on low-ticket orders.
It is a weaker fit if you run several locations on a budget (every location pays every module), or if you want unlimited orders without paying $169.
How does Menuthere's pricing compare?
Menuthere has 0% commission, no per-order fee and no order caps on paid plans, with no contract. Card payments go through your own Stripe account.
- Free $0: 50 orders a month, ordering website, QR codes and QR table ordering.
- Lite $17/month: unlimited orders, your own domain, online payments, coupons, pre-orders, table booking, menu in several languages.
- Pro $39/month: WhatsApp order updates from your own number, a loyalty card, reviews, several outlets, and your own riders with an iOS and Android rider app and a live map. You assign each order by hand. In the US, Meta does not deliver WhatsApp marketing messages to +1 numbers, so WhatsApp sends order updates (utility messages, about $0.0034 each, billed by Meta with no markup) but not promotions; use email for offers. See WhatsApp ordering in the USA.
- Branded App $99/month: Pro plus your own Android and iOS customer app.
