The rates
Commission is a percentage of the order, and who delivers it sets the rate. Here is what Glovo publishes for restaurants in Portugal.
| Plan | Glovo delivers | You deliver | Pickup | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small-business pricing | 30% | 15% | 15% | Glovo's rates for small businesses, as a share of the order subtotal. Glovo says rates may vary by city; larger partners agree theirs in contract. |
Card processing
Glovo's pricing page lists no separate card fee. It collects customers' payments as your agent and pays out after deducting its fees; check your contract.
VAT (IVA) on the commission
Yes. Glovo's Portuguese terms charge its service fee as the agreed percentage plus IVA. Portugal's standard rate is 23%.
Activation fee
Up to €150 plus VAT per restaurant, once, taken from your first invoices (Glovo's terms).
Glovo Prime orders
Glovo's terms let it charge an extra fee on orders from its Prime subscribers.
Subscriptions and extras
Glovo says it charges no subscription, cancellation or contract fees, but optional products and services (ads, promotions, packaging from the Glovo Store) cost extra.

One €20 order on Glovo
Glovo keeps 30.0% of every order — €1,800 a month, or €21,600 a year at your volume.
The same order on your own ordering page
Moving 90 orders a month (30%) to your own link keeps €486 a month in your business — €5,832 a year.
Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. Glovo agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your Glovo payout statement is the source of truth. The direct column assumes every order is paid by card at about 3%, before your ordering plan's fee; cash and pay-at-counter orders cost nothing. Worth knowing
Exclusivity. If you agreed a preferential partnership with Glovo and then sign up with a rival app, its terms let it raise your rate to as much as 30% from that date.
Service levels. Missing the service levels in Glovo's terms (such as availability and order accuracy) can add 1 to 1.5 percentage points to your rate.
Glovo works out its fee on gross sales, including taxes, according to its Portuguese terms.
Glovo's pricing FAQ says its commission pays for access to the app, couriers' costs, customer support, and advertising and marketing.

A Glovo alternative for your regulars
A delivery app is a good way to be found and an expensive way to serve people who already know you. Give your regulars your own ordering link, and the commission on their orders stays in your business.
