What is a fair delivery charge for a 5 km delivery?
Updated 18 October 2026
There is no single fair number. Work out what a courier would charge for 5 km, add something for packing and waiting, and decide how much you pass on. Pricing by distance is fairer than one flat fee when your area is wide.
- Courier prices: Porter lists two-wheelers from Rs 48 including 1 km; Borzo from Rs 45 plus Rs 8.20 a km; Shiprocket Quick from Rs 10 a km.
- They change: prices vary by place and by demand, so check your local courier.
- Flat or per km: a flat fee is simple; per-km is fairer over a wide area.
- Round up: pick a clear fee, such as a round number, and say it before the order.
Charge by distance, automatically
Set delivery fees by distance and draw your delivery area on a map, so each address gets the right charge without you working it out.
