I turned off the WhatsApp cart, so why do customers still see it?
Updated 14 October 2026
WhatsApp says a change to cart settings may take up to 24 hours to apply. Wait a day before you decide it failed, and tell customers how you want orders sent in the meantime.
- Give it 24 hours: WhatsApp's own help page says cart changes may take up to 24 hours.
- What the cart does: customers browse your catalog, add items to a cart and send the cart to you as a WhatsApp message.
- Until it switches off, you may still get cart messages, so read each order message for items already in a cart.
- Say how to order in your greeting message and profile, so customers know what to send instead.
Orders that arrive already added up
Customers pick items on your Menuthere menu, and the order reaches your dashboard already added up. You can mark items out of stock, so sold-out dishes are not ordered.
