Free pizza menu template for pizzerias
Updated October 20, 2026
Open our free pizza menu template, type your pizzas and prices, and download a print-ready PDF: it's the Pizzeria design in our free menu maker, with a red checked header, 12" and 16" prices side by side, and sections for sides and drinks. No sign-up, no email and no watermark. It prints on US Letter, or as a landscape counter board for behind the register. Below: what's in it, how to price your sizes so the large pie is the better deal, and the one calorie rule that only applies to pizza chains.
In short
- The template: Pizzeria layout, red, two prices per pizza (12" and 16"), plus Sides and Drinks.
- Price by area, not diameter: a 16" pizza has 1.78 times the area of a 12" and 2.56 times a 10".
- Chains of 20+ locations may show pizza calories per slice, with the number of slices.
- Cheese prices fell 3.0% in the 12 months to September 2026 (BLS), so recheck your food cost before you print.
What's in the pizza menu template
The template opens as "Tony's Pizzeria" with example dishes. Replace them with yours, or paste your menu in one go.
| Section | Example dishes | Why it's laid out this way |
|---|---|---|
| Pizzas | Margherita, Pepperoni, Garden veggie, BBQ chicken | Each pizza has two size prices (12" and 16") on one line, so guests compare without hunting |
| Sides | Garlic knots, Chicken wings, Caesar salad | Add-ons that raise the check, kept short |
| Drinks | Soda, Lemonade | One line each; drinks carry a high margin |
You can add a third size (10", 14" or 18") to any pizza, turn on veg marks, change the red to your own color and upload your logo. Long menus with build-your-own toppings carry on over a second page.
How to price pizza sizes
Customers buy area, not diameter. A pizza's area is π × (diameter ÷ 2)². So:
| Size | Area | Times a 10" pie |
|---|---|---|
| 10" | 78.5 sq in | 1.00 |
| 12" | 113.1 sq in | 1.44 |
| 14" | 153.9 sq in | 1.96 |
| 16" | 201.1 sq in | 2.56 |
| 18" | 254.5 sq in | 3.24 |
Worked example: the template's Margherita. It's $13 for a 12" and $18 for a 16".
- 12": $13 ÷ 113.1 sq in = 11.5¢ per square inch
- 16": $18 ÷ 201.1 sq in = 9.0¢ per square inch
The 16" has 78% more pizza for 38% more money, which is why guests trade up. Your food cost follows area too: if the 12" Margherita costs you $3.20 in dough, sauce and cheese, the 16" costs about $3.20 × 1.78 = $5.70. That's a 24.6% food cost on the 12" and 31.7% on the 16". Check yours dish by dish with the recipe cost calculator, then set prices with the menu price calculator.
The $3.20 is an example, not a benchmark. US cheese prices fell 3.0% and flour 1.1% in the 12 months to September 2026, while uncooked ground beef rose 5.4% (Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI). Meat toppings may be where your margin moved.

Pizza menu rules in the US
| Rule | Who it applies to | What to put on the menu |
|---|---|---|
| Calories per item | Chains with 20 or more locations under the same name (or that register with the FDA) | Calories for the whole pie, or per slice with the number of slices, as in the FDA's own example "pizza pie: 200 cal/slice, 8 slices" |
| 2,000-calorie statement | The same chains | "2,000 calories a day is used for general nutrition advice, but calorie needs vary" |
| Allergen notice | Food codes based on the FDA Food Code (§ 3-602.12) | Written notice of major allergens; for pizza that's usually wheat and milk, and often soy or sesame in some doughs |
A single independent pizzeria doesn't have to show calories. Our FDA menu labeling guide covers the chain rules in full.
Take pizza orders online without the app commission
A printed menu sends people to call you or open an app. On a 25% delivery-app commission, a $26 order costs you $6.50. See the US delivery app commission rates.
- Put the menu online: upload the PDF to the free digital menu creator for a link and a QR code.
- Take orders direct: create your free ordering page. The Free plan has 50 orders a month at 0% commission, and pizzas can carry sizes and add-ons.
- Deliver with your own drivers: on Pro (US$39 a month) the rider app runs on iOS and Android, customers get a live tracking link, and you assign each order with one tap.
FAQs
Is this pizza menu template free?
Yes. It's free to edit and download as a PDF or an image, with no sign-up, no email and no watermark.
Can I add more pizza sizes?
Yes. Every pizza can have as many sizes as you need, such as 10, 12, 14 and 16 inches, each with its own price.
How much more should a large pizza cost than a medium?
Price by area. A 16-inch pizza has 1.78 times the area of a 12-inch, so if you charge less than 1.78 times as much, the large is the better deal per square inch and guests trade up. Check that the large still covers its food cost.
Do pizza menus have to show calories?
Only if you're part of a chain with 20 or more locations, or you've registered with the FDA. Chains may list calories for the whole pie or per slice, with the number of slices.
Is there a pizza menu template for Word?
The menu maker downloads PDFs and images, not Word files. This page has a copy-ready layout you can paste into Word or Google Docs.
Can I print the pizza menu as a counter board?
Yes. Switch the paper to the landscape counter board on Letter or A4, or A3 for a bigger wall board.
