Restaurant CRM
A restaurant CRM is the list of who your customers are, what they ordered and when they last came. On Menuthere it builds itself: each order on your website, QR code or WhatsApp link puts the customer's name and number in your own customer list, which starts on Lite. On Pro you can then reach them on WhatsApp.
Free plan: 50 orders a month, 0% commission. The customer list starts on Lite at $9 a month.

The short answer
CRM stands for customer relationship management. For a restaurant it means three jobs: keep a list of your customers, see how each one orders, and contact the right people at the right time. Restroworks, a CRM vendor, describes it as software to "collect, manage, and analyze customer data to improve engagement, marketing, and guest loyalty".
The list is only as good as where it comes from. A CRM that starts empty needs someone to type names in. On Menuthere the list fills from the orders customers place on your own link, so the work is done at checkout, not afterwards.
Menuthere is an ordering system with a customer list and WhatsApp on top. It is not a reservations or table-management CRM, and it does not bring in customers from Zomato, Swiggy or any other delivery app. The list is made of the people who order from you directly, plus people who message you on WhatsApp.
Whose customer is it?
The same person can order from you twice, once in an app and once on your link. What you are allowed to do afterwards is very different.
| What you get | Order through a delivery app | Order on your own Menuthere link |
|---|---|---|
| The customer's details | The app's terms limit what you may do with them. Uber Eats' US terms allow customer details only to fulfil that order and say not to keep them afterwards. | Name and phone number come with the order and stay in your dashboard. |
| A customer list | Order history sits in the app's merchant portal. Uber Eats' UK terms say that data is lost when the agreement ends. | Customers list from Lite at $9 a month, with search, filters and export. Free keeps order history for 30 days. |
| Messaging them again | Zomato's terms bar using customer data for unsolicited marketing messages, unless the person was already your customer or opted in directly. | On Pro, broadcasts and comeback messages go from your own WhatsApp number, to people who have given you permission. |
| What it costs per order | Commission set by the app. See delivery app commission. | 0% commission on every plan. Payment gateways and Meta charge their own fees. |
App terms read from Zomato's partner terms (last updated 19 September 2025) and Uber's merchant terms (US: last modified 2 June 2026; UK: 16 June 2025). Terms differ by country and change, so check the one you signed. For more, read who owns the customer data from delivery-app orders.
How it works
Nobody on your team types a customer in. Here is how the list grows.
They order from your ordering website, a table QR code, your Google listing or a WhatsApp message with your menu link. See WhatsApp ordering. They enter a phone number to place the order, so the number comes with it.
The partner app rings until someone accepts it. On every plan the order shows who placed it, and Free keeps the last 30 days of order history. See restaurant order management.
The Customers screen lists everyone who has ordered, with orders, total spend and last order date. Open one customer to see each order with its items, their average order and what they order most, and call or message them on WhatsApp from the same page. Lite includes search, filters by order type, channel and discount use, and export to a spreadsheet.
Pro adds eight groups: Enquired, VIPs, Regulars, Repeat, New, At risk, One-and-done and Lapsed. Each has a plain rule, for example Lapsed means 2 or more orders but nothing in over 90 days. A customer is always in exactly one group, so the counts add up.
What each plan gives
The Free plan has no Customers screen. It takes orders and keeps their details in the order dashboard. The list and everything built on it come with a paid plan, and both have a 7-day free trial.

Use the list
A list does nothing until you use it. These are the ways Menuthere puts it to work. All WhatsApp messages here need Pro and your own WhatsApp Business number.
Pick which groups to message and how many days quiet counts as gone. Menuthere finds them, sends a message you wrote from your own number, and shows who came back to order. There is a monthly cap on how many go out. The full set-up is on WhatsApp marketing for restaurants.
Send one approved message to many people. Choose from your customers, type numbers, or upload a spreadsheet. Anyone who replies STOP is taken off, and you can add numbers to the block list yourself.
Lite adds coupons and offers. Pro adds loyalty points, buy X get Y and a loyalty view on each customer's page. See the restaurant loyalty program.
On Pro, ask for a review after each order, so your happy regulars are the ones people read about.
Compared
Products like SevenRooms, Toast, OpenTable, Resy and Restroworks add guest profiles, reservations and POS data to the list. Some are priced by quote. A Restroworks roundup read on 7 October 2026 lists Toast from $69 a month, OpenTable from $149 and Resy from $249, and gives SevenRooms and Restroworks as custom-priced.
If you run fine dining and need reservation history, notes on guests and table management, a dedicated hospitality CRM is built for that. Menuthere is for restaurants, cafes, bakeries and cloud kitchens whose customers order from them: it keeps the list, sorts it, and sends the messages that bring people back. The Free plan costs $0 and has no customer list. Lite is $9 a month and Pro is $39.
Permission and cost
The list belongs to your store. Messaging it on WhatsApp has rules. WhatsApp's business policy says you may contact people only if they gave you their number and you have their opt-in permission. Getting that permission is your job, so tell customers at the point of order that you may message them, and stop when someone asks you to.
Meta bills its per-message fees to the account that owns the WhatsApp Business number, which is yours. Menuthere takes no cut of them. Work out what a broadcast would cost with the WhatsApp cost calculator.
