The best contactless dine-in ordering systems, scored

Contactless dine-in lets a guest scan a QR code at the table, see the menu, order and pay from the phone browser with no app to download. These seven do that, and most run worldwide or across a region. Four include ordering on a free plan, published prices start under $10 a month, and five take 0% commission on orders (the other two charge a per-order fee instead). Updated October 2026.

1. OlaClick

Small restaurants, cafés and dark kitchens in Latin America that want a low-cost, commission-free ordering menu with WhatsApp ordering and a simple POS.

OlaClick combines a digital menu and ordering site with QR, table and WhatsApp ordering, a POS, a kitchen screen and delivery management, at 0% commission. A free plan covers 10 orders a month; paid plans start at US$9.90 a month on annual billing, the lowest published price here, with local-currency prices across Latin America and automatic renewal you can switch off in one click.

Online payments
Online payments depend on the country: D24 (cards, bank transfers and local methods) is available in most countries where OlaClick operates but not in Brazil; OlaPago, processed by dLocal, is available only to accounts in Peru; in Brazil the help centre covers PIX online through Tuna, credit cards through Stripe and Stone card machines at the POS. The Google Play listing also names Nequi, Daviplata, Mercado Pago and WebPay. Restaurants can also set up manual (offline) payment methods.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations

  • No commission on orders: OlaClick charges only a fixed monthly fee, and the restaurant receives payments directly (OlaClick pricing page FAQ).
  • Low entry price: a free plan with 10 orders a month, and paid plans from US$9.90 a month on annual billing, priced in local currency in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru (OlaClick pricing page and 2026 plans article).
  • One product covers the ordering menu with its own domain, QR and table ordering, WhatsApp ordering and an AI chatbot, a POS with a waiter app, delivery management with a rider app, loyalty and, from the Premium plan up, a kitchen screen (OlaClick home page and pricing page).
  • Order caps on the cheaper plans: 10 orders a month on Free, 75 on Advanced and 400 on Premium; only Elite (US$59 a month on annual billing) and Infinity have unlimited orders (OlaClick 2026 plans article and pricing page).
  • The headline prices are for 12-month plans paid upfront; paying month to month costs more, for example US$12 instead of US$9.90 for Advanced (OlaClick pricing page).
  • Several tools are country-limited: OlaClick says online payments, POS integrations, delivery-app integrations and electronic invoices are available only in some countries; electronic invoicing is only for Brazil and Colombia, OlaPago is Peru-only and D24 is not offered in Brazil (OlaClick pricing page and help centre).

  • Own-channel pickup (from Basic) and delivery (Delivery plan, €169 a month) take no commission; each delivery zone (postcode, radius or polygon) has its own fee and minimum order, with the restaurant's own riders or Uber Direct as a fallback (delivery page).

  • No free plan: Basic costs €119 a month + VAT, and own delivery zones and riders, the Uber Eats integration, reservations, loyalty and marketing need a plan from €169 a month (pricing, delivery, Uber Eats, reservations and loyalty pages; terms for VAT).
  • A one-time implementation fee of €200 (Basic) or €500 (Pro) applies unless the restaurant takes Total at €249 a month (pricing pages).

4. WEIQ

Swedish restaurants, cafés and seasonal venues that want a certified POS with QR table ordering and prepaid take-away orders in one system.

WEIQ is a Swedish certified cloud POS with QR table ordering where guests order and pay in the phone browser with no app or account. Plans run from a free phone till to WEIQ Pro from 750 SEK (€75) a month, which includes QR and online ordering. There is no separate order commission; a percentage transaction fee on each payment covers card and Swish costs (0.8% on Easy, for example).

Online payments
Payments run through Adyen, and WEIQ's terms require customers to use it. Guests pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Swish, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and can add a tip. Take-away orders are always prepaid. Payouts come two days a week on Free and Easy (daily payouts are an Easy add-on) and daily on Pro.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Online payments · POS · Marketing tools

  • There is a free plan: WEIQ Free costs 0 SEK a month and turns an NFC phone into a certified cash register (Tap2Pay) with no hardware. You pay only a transaction fee on each payment.
  • QR table ordering and take-away ordering from the restaurant's own website run in the same certified POS. Guests order and pay in the browser with no app or account, orders print in the kitchen or bar, and guests get a push notification when food is ready. If a restaurant has no website, it can share a WEIQ link.
  • WEIQ says over 500 restaurants use it daily and it has processed about SEK 2 billion in payments. It connects to Swedish accounting and staff systems: Fortnox, Spiris, Björn Lundén, Personalkollen, Caspeco and Timetjek.
  • QR and online ordering are not part of the free plan. They come as a paid add-on to Easy (price not published) or are included in Pro from 750 SEK (75 €) a month.
  • Transaction fees are only partly published: 0.8% on Easy is given as an example and the take-away page says 1–2%. The rates for Free and Pro are not stated.
  • The contract terms conflict. The pricing page says there is no lock-in, but the general terms set a 12-month first term, automatic 3-month renewals, 3 months' notice and billing three months in advance.

6. Scan & Order

Small Indian cafés, dhabas and takeaway counters that want low-cost QR table and takeaway ordering run from an Android phone.

Scan & Order is a QR menu and ordering system where guests scan a code on the table or at the counter and order dine-in or takeaway in the phone browser, with the order landing on the owner's Android app and web panel. It is sold in India as prepaid plans from ₹199 for 31 days after a 30-day free trial, with no per-order commission listed.

The product pages and pricing plans do not name a payment gateway for customer orders. A Scan & Order blog post (20 June 2026) lists "QR Code & Online Payments" as a feature: customers pay by scanning a payment QR code, with UPI, net banking and debit or credit cards. The same post lists WhatsApp order notifications. The Google Play listing mentions "integrated payment solutions". Restaurants pay for their subscription through Razorpay, according to the affiliate programme page.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Online payments · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Multiple locations

  • Low, fixed prices: ₹199 for 31 days, ₹699 for 182 days, or ₹999 for 399 days (about ₹2.5 a day). Every new sign-up gets a 30-day free trial with no card needed, and no per-order commission is listed (homepage pricing).
  • Table and takeaway ordering in one system. Guests order in the phone browser without installing an app. Dine-in orders carry the table number, and takeaway orders need no table. The demo menu also lets guests send requests to staff, such as water, a waiter or the bill (QR ordering, takeaway and café pages, demo menu).
  • Every plan includes unlimited menu items, QR codes for every table, the Android app and web panel, and real-time order alerts. Menus take sizes, add-ons and veg/non-veg tags, and cloud kitchens can run a separate menu for each brand or outlet (homepage, cloud kitchen page).
  • Made for India. Prices are published only in rupees, and the site, demo page and customer stories are all aimed at Indian restaurants. The sign-up form lets you pick any country (other countries get US dollars as the currency), but no dollar prices are published (homepage, demo page, registration page).
  • The owner app is Android only. The pricing lists an "Android + web owner panel", no iPhone app is mentioned, and Google Play showed 100+ downloads for the owner app when read.
  • Pages disagree on price. The homepage lists ₹199 for 31 days, ₹699 for 182 days and ₹999 for 399 days. The affiliate page lists ₹999, ₹1,999 and ₹9,999 a year.

7. Ordin

Danish restaurants and takeaways that want a self-serve ordering website with a kitchen display, or ExtendaGO POS users who want online ordering tied to their till.

Ordin is a Danish ordering system with a branded pickup and delivery site plus QR table ordering, a kitchen display and cloud printing. It charges per order rather than a commission: the free Basic plan is 4% + DKK 1.50 an order, while Standalone adds QR table ordering and loyalty for DKK 399 a month (free for the first three months) plus 2% + DKK 1.50 an order.

Price

4% + DKK 1.50 per order on Basic; 2% + DKK 1.50 per order on Standalone; Advanced by quote.
Online payments
Online payments go through Adyen or Stripe (Ordin guide; both are listed as payment subprocessors in Ordin's privacy policy). Ordin itself does not process or store payment information (terms of use). A store can also offer Pay Later, for example paying when the order is collected, and invoice payments for logged-in customers (Ordin guide). For Adyen, the restaurant's Adyen merchant ID is entered in the Ordin backoffice.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Multiple locations

  • Self-serve sign-up with no setup fee, and the Basic plan has no monthly fee and no binding period (Ordin pricing page and FAQ).
  • Ordin's FAQ says the per-order fee covers payment processing, hosting, support and all software features (Ordin FAQ).
  • One system covers pickup, delivery by the restaurant's own couriers within a zone set by distance, travel time or a map area, QR table ordering, preorders with time-slot capacity limits, a kitchen display and Star cloud printing (Ordin feature pages and guides).
  • Every plan takes a cut of each order: 4% + DKK 1.50 on Basic and 2% + DKK 1.50 on Standalone, and Standalone costs DKK 399 a month after the first 3 months (Ordin pricing page).
  • QR table ordering, automatic printing and loyalty programmes are only on Standalone or higher, not on the free Basic plan; the branded app is only an option on the quote-only Advanced plan (Ordin pricing page).
  • Built for Denmark: prices are only in DKK, SMS fees are quoted for +45 numbers only, and age verification uses Danish NemID (pricing page, privacy policy).

How we scored them

Every score, so you can check the order.

Ranked by total score. Menuthere is our product and scores highest on this method (11 of 12), but we never rank our own product first, so it sits second; OlaClick takes first on 11, matching on the contactless, cost and fee points and winning the dine-in-extras point with its built-in POS and delivery management. Ties are broken first by the lowest published starting price, then by how many countries the system is sold in.

When a rival is the better choice

Pick another system over Menuthere if…

  • OlaClick: You run a venue in Latin America and want contactless QR ordering plus WhatsApp ordering and a simple POS at the lowest published price, billed in your local currency.
  • Qamarero: You want contactless order-and-pay built into a full POS with a waiter order pad and kitchen display, and you are in Spain, France or Italy.
  • WEIQ: You run a venue in Sweden or Spain and want a certified cash register with contactless QR order-and-pay and Swish built in, and a per-payment transaction fee is acceptable.
  • My Menu: You run a full-service restaurant or hotel and want contactless table and room ordering with reservations and guest marketing in one subscription priced by tables or rooms.
  • Scan & Order: You run a small café or counter in India and want the lowest-cost contactless QR ordering run entirely from an Android phone, with a 30-day free trial.
  • Ordin: You run a venue in Denmark, Norway or Sweden, want contactless QR ordering with a kitchen display, and prefer a per-order fee over a flat subscription — or you already use ExtendaGO POS.

How we chose them

What put a system on this list.

  • A system qualifies if its dated profile on Menuthere shows QR table ordering where guests order, and usually pay, from their phone at the table with no app, it is active, and its own text describes contactless, scan-to-order or order-and-pay dining.
  • Each system is scored on six criteria worth up to 2 points each (12 in all). The rubric and every score are in the table above, and each point comes from a fact in the system's profile.
  • Card processing is left out of the scores because every system charges it. Prices are each company's published prices on the date in its profile.
  • Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.

Questions

Answered, plainly.

It is a system that puts a QR code on each table. A guest scans it with a phone camera, the menu opens in the browser with no app to download, and the guest orders and usually pays from the phone. The order goes to the kitchen or the till, so staff don't handle menus or take orders by hand.

Yes, on most of these. OlaClick, Menuthere, Qamarero, WEIQ and My Menu let guests order and pay from the phone at the table; Qamarero takes card, Bizum, Apple Pay and Google Pay and generates the guest's invoice. Scan & Order and Ordin focus on ordering, with payment handled through the venue's own setup.

Yes. OlaClick (10 orders a month), WEIQ (a free phone till) and Ordin (a free Basic plan, charged per order) include a free tier, and Menuthere's free plan covers 50 orders a month at 0% commission. Scan & Order gives a 30-day free trial before its prepaid plans from ₹199.

OlaClick, Menuthere, Qamarero, My Menu and Scan & Order take 0% commission on orders, charging a subscription instead. WEIQ deducts a percentage transaction fee on each payment, and Ordin charges a per-order fee (4% + DKK 1.50 on its free plan, 2% + DKK 1.50 on Standalone). Card processing is charged separately in every case.

This list is about contactless dine-in worldwide — guests scanning, ordering and paying at the table.
