Commission per order0%0%0%0%A per-order platform fee under the merchant terms ("Platform Fees in accordance with the pricing plan selected"). The current pricing page gives no rate, only that higher order volume brings lower commission. Archived copies of the pricing page (September 2022 and May 2024) listed 1.8% per order. The terms also allow "penalty commission rates" if the venue's Stripe account is not connected, verified and active, or subscription payments are outstanding.0%Not published. Both merchant agreements charge Transaction Fees set in the Term Sheet, on top of the Platform Use Fee; the APAC agreement says these can be charged "on a percentage or per-transaction basis". Since 15 August 2022 LOKE has also added its own platform fee to diners' orders at checkout.

Yearly plans are paid up front: you can cancel the renewal at any time but cannot end the current term early.Merchant terms (updated 11 February 2025): the subscription has an initial term of 1 year from when the plan is accepted and renews automatically for periods of equal duration unless notice is given; the agreement as a whole renews for successive 12-month periods if no termination notice is given, though either party may end it by written notice. No cancellation fees, but outstanding fees must be paid, and subscription fees are non-refundable. The terms also make Bopple the venue's exclusive online ordering and payment provider unless agreed in writing. No locked-in contract; cancel or switch plans anytime (US pricing page and General Terms). Outside the US, paid Square Online plans are priced per month billed annually, with a different price if paid monthly, and plans can be switched at any time.An Initial Service Term set in the Term Sheet, which is the minimum commitment. APAC terms: after that the agreement renews automatically for 12-month terms unless either side gives notice at least six months before the term ends. If the merchant ends it, the merchant pays fees up to the date termination takes effect, with transaction fees for the notice period at no less than the merchant's six-month monthly average. UK agreement: renews for 12-month terms unless three months' notice is given before the end of a term; after the initial term, either side can end it with three months' notice.

3. OlaClick

Small cafés, restaurants and dark kitchens in Latin America that want a low-cost, commission-free ordering menu with WhatsApp ordering and a simple POS.

OlaClick gives a café a digital menu and ordering site with QR, table and WhatsApp ordering, a kitchen screen, delivery management and a rider app, with 0% commission. A free plan covers 10 orders a month; the Advanced plan is $9.90 a month billed annually, the lowest published price on this list.

Online payments
Online payments depend on the country: D24 (cards, bank transfers and local methods) is available in most countries where OlaClick operates but not in Brazil; OlaPago, processed by dLocal, is available only to accounts in Peru; in Brazil the help centre covers PIX online through Tuna, credit cards through Stripe and Stone card machines at the POS. The Google Play listing also names Nequi, Daviplata, Mercado Pago and WebPay. Restaurants can also set up manual (offline) payment methods.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations

  • No commission on orders: OlaClick charges only a fixed monthly fee, and the restaurant receives payments directly (OlaClick pricing page FAQ).
  • Low entry price: a free plan with 10 orders a month, and paid plans from US$9.90 a month on annual billing, priced in local currency in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru (OlaClick pricing page and 2026 plans article).
  • One product covers the ordering menu with its own domain, QR and table ordering, WhatsApp ordering and an AI chatbot, a POS with a waiter app, delivery management with a rider app, loyalty and, from the Premium plan up, a kitchen screen (OlaClick home page and pricing page).
  • Order caps on the cheaper plans: 10 orders a month on Free, 75 on Advanced and 400 on Premium; only Elite (US$59 a month on annual billing) and Infinity have unlimited orders (OlaClick 2026 plans article and pricing page).
  • The headline prices are for 12-month plans paid upfront; paying month to month costs more, for example US$12 instead of US$9.90 for Advanced (OlaClick pricing page).
  • Several tools are country-limited: OlaClick says online payments, POS integrations, delivery-app integrations and electronic invoices are available only in some countries; electronic invoicing is only for Brazil and Colombia, OlaPago is Peru-only and D24 is not offered in Brazil (OlaClick pricing page and help centre).

4. Take App

Small cafés and home kitchens in almost any country that already take orders on WhatsApp and want a free menu link with local payment methods.

Take App gives a café a free menu link where customers order for delivery, pickup or at the table by QR code, with 0% commission. Basic is free (50 orders a month saved), Business is $50 a month, and it works with local payment methods in about 25 countries.

Customers pay through the restaurant's own gateway account. Take App lists 32 gateways, including Stripe, PayPal, Xendit, Razorpay, Paystack, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago, M-Pesa Express, HitPay, Adyen, Paymob and Tap, and 128 payment methods in all. The country pages list local methods such as M-Pesa, Airtel, Paystack, Flutterwave and Pesapal in Kenya, and Mercado Pago, OXXO, CoDi and Clip in Mexico. Manual methods (bank transfer, QR such as PayNow, cash on delivery, with payment-proof upload) work on the free plan. Automatic card payments need Business. Take App says it never holds the restaurant's money.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Multiple locations · Reservations

  • Free Basic plan with 0% commission and unlimited products, and 0% commission on the $50-a-month Business plan too (Take App pricing page).
  • Takes no payment-processing fee on any method: the connected gateway charges its own rate and pays the restaurant directly (Take App help centre, Payment Processing Fee).
  • Local payment methods in many markets, for example M-Pesa, Airtel, Pesapal, Paystack and Flutterwave in Kenya; Paystack, Flutterwave and NIBSS/NQR in Nigeria; and Mercado Pago, OXXO, CoDi and Clip in Mexico (Take App country pages; 32 gateways on the integrations page).
  • The free plan saves only 50 orders a month to the dashboard. After that, orders still reach the restaurant's WhatsApp but are not saved to the dashboard (Take App pricing page).
  • Card payments, automated WhatsApp order updates, a custom domain, the delivery-fee calculator, courier and driver tracking, loyalty and analytics all need the Business plan at $50 a month (Take App pricing comparison and FAQ).
  • Business includes 1,000 automated WhatsApp messages a month. After that, each message costs $0.05, and each store over five costs $8 (Take App pricing page).

5. Bopple

Cafés and multi-site food brands in Australia and New Zealand that want their own ordering site or branded app linked to Lightspeed Kounta or Square POS.

Bopple is an Australian ordering platform for cafés and multi-site food brands, with a free digital menu and store page, and a paid plan that adds pickup, delivery, scheduled and QR table ordering, loyalty and discount codes. The free Storefront shows a menu; online ordering is A$49 or NZ$49 a month (US$29).

Price

A per-order platform fee under the merchant terms ("Platform Fees in accordance with the pricing plan selected"). The current pricing page gives no rate, only that higher order volume brings lower commission. Archived copies of the pricing page (September 2022 and May 2024) listed 1.8% per order. The terms also allow "penalty commission rates" if the venue's Stripe account is not connected, verified and active, or subscription payments are outstanding.
Online payments
Customers pay online through Stripe accounts created via Bopple (Stripe Payments Australia under the merchant terms): card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link by Stripe, with guest checkout. Stripe pays out daily (Monday to Friday) on a T+2 schedule in Australia and New Zealand; other countries follow Stripe's local payout speed.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Multiple locations

  • Self-serve with a free Storefront plan and a 14-day trial of the A$49-a-month Online ordering plan. That plan covers pickup, delivery, scheduled pre-orders, QR table ordering, loyalty points, discount codes and SMS order updates (Bopple pricing page).
  • Syncs menus and orders with Lightspeed Kounta and Square POS, and powers "Lightspeed Ordering, powered by Bopple". Deliveries can go to the venue's own drivers or to Uber Direct and DoorDash Drive couriers (integrations, Lightspeed and Square pages).
  • Branded web and native iOS and Android ordering apps at published prices (A$99 and A$399 a month). Multi-store brands such as Gelato Messina and Zeus Street Greek are featured on its white-label page (pricing and white-label pages).
  • Not commission-free: Bopple takes a per-order platform fee on top of the subscription, and its pricing page no longer publishes the rate (archived copies showed 1.8% per order).
  • The merchant terms set a 1-year initial subscription term that renews automatically unless notice is given. They also make Bopple the venue's exclusive provider of online ordering and online payments unless Bopple agrees otherwise in writing (merchant terms, 11 February 2025).
  • Online ordering is not in the free plan, and online payments must run through Stripe via Bopple. A 1.45% fee applies when Bopple has to hold payments because the venue's Stripe account is not connected or verified (pricing and Stripe fees pages).

Square processes every online payment itself: credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App Pay in the US; Square Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay in Australia and Canada; Square Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Clearpay in the UK. The restaurant needs a Square account.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations · Reservations

  • Free plan with no monthly fee and no commission on direct orders; the restaurant pays only Square's card processing fee (Square online ordering page and plan pages).
  • Online orders arrive in Square POS and go to the kitchen printer or Square KDS, and menus, items and stock stay in sync between online and in-store sales (Square online ordering pages).
  • Pickup (including curbside), delivery by the restaurant's own staff with postal-code or radius zones and distance-based fees, or on-demand couriers (DoorDash or another courier Square picks in the US, DoorDash in Canada, Stuart in the UK); customers can schedule orders days ahead (Square help centre, Canada and UK pages).
  • Online payments go through Square at Square's rates; in the US the Free plan charges 3.3% + 30¢ per online card payment, against 2.9% + 30¢ on paid plans (Square pricing page).
  • QR table ordering, loyalty, email marketing and a custom domain need a paid plan: Square Plus at $49 a month per location in the US; in Australia QR ordering and pre-orders need Plus at A$36 a month, billed annually (Square pricing and plan pages).
  • Only available in the 8 countries Square serves (Square About page).

7. LOKE

Hospitality groups and franchises in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore and the US that want a branded ordering and loyalty app for their cafés tied to their POS.

LOKE is a white-label ordering, payments, loyalty and marketing platform for restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés, with QR table ordering and the venue's own drivers, run with a LOKE account team. It quotes rather than publishing: setup, a platform use fee and transaction fees are set in each merchant's Term Sheet, with a minimum term.

Price
Quote only
Commission
Not published.
Online payments
Online payments run through Stripe. Each merchant, or each location, connects a Stripe account in LOKE Office, and Stripe pays out net of its fees: weekly by default, with the first payout 7 to 14 days after the first payment. At checkout diners can pay by card, and by Apple Pay or Google Pay where enabled. Some US setups also take cash. The merchant agreements also allow payment collection through third parties such as PayPal and Braintree. LOKE's payment API page lists Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Android Pay, PayPal and DBS Bank.

Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Multiple locations

  • Branded mobile apps plus web ordering on a loke.app subdomain or the venue's own domain. They cover pickup, delivery, order-to-table, pay-at-table, room service and orders scheduled for later (LOKE home and features pages, help centre).
  • Loyalty and marketing are built in: stamp cards, tiered loyalty, vouchers, triggered campaigns and push notifications, with reports on ROI and customer segments. Clients get a hospitality marketing specialist and a dedicated success manager, with 24/7 support (features and get-started pages, help centre).
  • Connects to many POS systems, including Lightspeed, Kounta, Zonal, Oracle, Micros, H&L, SwiftPOS, Speedline, HungerRush and Thrive, and to Doshii, Deliverect and Checkmate middleware. Delivery areas can be set by radius, postcode or an uploaded map area, and Australian clients on the public API integrations can send deliveries to Uber Direct drivers (help centre, payment API page, Jet's Pizza case study).
  • No published prices. Setup, training, platform-use and transaction fees are agreed in a Term Sheet that merchants must keep confidential; the APAC agreement lets transaction fees be charged as a percentage (merchant agreements).
  • Diners have paid a LOKE platform fee on every order since 15 August 2022, added at checkout. LOKE compares this to Deliveroo and Uber Eats surcharges (help centre).
  • Fixed minimum term that renews automatically for 12 months at a time. Under the APAC terms, notice must be given at least six months before the term ends (three months in the UK agreement).

How we scored them

Every score, so you can check the order.

Ranked by total score. MENU TIGER and Take App tie on the top score (10 of 10); Menuthere is our product and scores 9, so it never ranks first and sits second, and MENU TIGER takes first (ahead of Take App on the tie, both tens, broken by the lower starting price being on MENU TIGER's free plan with more free orders). Lower ties are broken by whether cafés are named in the "best for" and the lowest published monthly price. For in-house QR menus only, see our digital menu systems for cafés.

When a rival is the better choice

Pick another system over Menuthere if…

  • MENU TIGER: You want menus in many languages, a web-based POS and a kitchen display on a free plan, and your café mainly does in-house and pickup orders.
  • OlaClick: You run a café in Latin America and want WhatsApp ordering and a simple POS at the lowest published price.
  • Take App: You already take café orders on WhatsApp, or sell in a country Stripe doesn't cover, and want a free commission-free link.
  • Bopple: You run a café in Australia or New Zealand on Lightspeed Kounta or Square and want ordering tied to that POS.
  • Square Online: You already take payments on Square and want pickup orders, counter sales and stock in the same POS.
  • LOKE: You run a café group or franchise and want a branded app, loyalty and an account team, and a quoted contract is acceptable.

How we chose them

What put a system on this list.

  • A system qualifies if its dated profile on Menuthere shows an ordering website with pickup and 0% commission, it is active, and its own "best for" or summary names cafés or coffee shops.
  • Each system is scored on five criteria worth up to 2 points each (10 in all). The rubric and every score are in the table above, and each point comes from a fact in the system's profile.
  • Card processing is left out of the scores because every system charges it. Prices are each company's published prices on the date in its profile.
  • Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.

Questions

Answered, plainly.

It depends on where you are. MENU TIGER and Take App score highest here, both free to start and commission-free. Menuthere (from $17 a month, 0% commission) adds the café's own delivery riders on Pro; OlaClick suits cafés in Latin America; Bopple suits cafés in Australia and New Zealand on Square or Lightspeed; Square Online is free for cafés already on Square.

Yes. This list is for taking pickup and delivery orders online. A QR menu is for guests ordering at the table in the café; we cover those in a separate list of digital menu systems for cafés. Several systems here — MENU TIGER, Menuthere, OlaClick, Take App, Bopple and Square Online — do both.

Yes. MENU TIGER (75 orders a month), Take App (50 orders saved), OlaClick (10 orders) and Square Online (card processing only) all include ordering on a free plan, and Menuthere's free plan covers 50 orders a month. Bopple's free Storefront shows a menu but needs a paid plan to take orders.

The seven here take 0% commission on the café's own orders. Bopple charges a per-order platform fee and LOKE sets transaction fees in each contract; the rest take only a subscription. Card processing is charged separately by the payment provider.

Among systems with a published price, OlaClick ($9.90 a month billed annually) is the lowest, then Menuthere's Lite and MENU TIGER's Regular at $17. MENU TIGER, Take App, OlaClick and Square Online also take orders on a free plan.
