Free drinks and cocktail menu template for UK bars and pubs
Updated 20 October 2026
Copy the free drinks menu template below, add your draught, wines, spirits and cocktails with the measure and £ price for each, and print it on A4 or A5, or make it in our free menu maker and download a PDF. UK weights and measures law sets the glass sizes for draught beer, still wine, fortified wine and the four main spirits, and in England and Wales the small measures must be available and listed. The template has a measure column built in, a cocktail card, and an alcohol-free section for Dry January and every other month.
In short
- Draught beer and cider: third, half, two-thirds of a pint, and multiples of a half.
- Still wine by the glass: 125ml, 175ml and multiples (so 250ml works). Port and sherry: 50ml or 70ml.
- Gin, rum, vodka and whisky: 25ml or 35ml and multiples, not both on the same premises. Other spirits and sparkling wine by the glass have no set measure, but state yours.
- Small measures (half pint, 25ml or 35ml, 125ml wine) must be available and shown on a menu or price list in England and Wales.

Food and drink allergies? Ask us: some cocktails contain milk, egg white or nuts.
Name the base spirit and the main ingredients in each line, so guests know what's in it. Cocktails often hide allergens: egg white in sours, milk or cream, nut liqueurs and syrups.

Packaged drinks are different: still wine sold in a bottle must come in set sizes such as 187ml, 375ml or 750ml, and there are no specified quantities for packaged beer or cider. The small-measure duty comes from the Licensing Act 2003 mandatory licensing conditions in England and Wales; Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own licensing law.
Plan the drinks year
- Dry January (all of January): put alcohol-free beers, spirits and cocktails at the top of the list.
- St Patrick's Day (17 March), bank holiday weekends and big sports nights: a short "specials" card.
- Christmas and New Year's Eve: a fizz-by-the-bottle offer for party bookings.

Put the drinks list on a table QR
Upload your drinks list to Menuthere and guests can order rounds from the table: give each drink its sizes (pint, half, third; 125ml, 175ml, 250ml), each with its own price. See sizes and portions. Ordering from a table QR works on every plan; card payment at the table needs Lite (US$17 a month) and your own Stripe account. See the pub ordering system and QR code ordering.

FAQs
Is this drinks menu template free?
Yes. Copy the drinks list or cocktail card into Word or Google Docs, or make it in the free menu maker and download a PDF, with no sign-up or watermark.
What wine glass sizes are legal in the UK?
Still wine by the glass must be sold in 125ml or 175ml measures or multiples of them, so 250ml is allowed. In England and Wales a 125ml glass must be available and shown on the menu or price list.
Can a bar sell both 25ml and 35ml spirits?
No. Gin, rum, vodka and whisky must be sold in 25ml or 35ml measures and their multiples, but not both on the same premises.
Is there a legal measure for a glass of prosecco?
No. UK law sets no specified quantity for sparkling wine by the glass, so state the measure you pour on the menu.
Do I need to list alcohol-free drinks?
There's no legal duty, but listing them helps in Dry January and all year. Treat them like any drink: name, size and price.
