How long does a refund take to reach the customer?

It depends on the gateway and the bank. A Stripe refund usually shows in 5 to 10 business days. Razorpay says 5 to 7 working days.

• Stripe refunds go only to the original payment method.
• Razorpay can make instant refunds, which arrive almost at once.
• Razorpay normal refunds are not possible on payments over 6 months old.
• Tell the customer when you refund so they know to wait for their bank.
