Otter delivery: can you run your own drivers on Otter?

Yes, Otter's online ordering lets you handle delivery in-house, but Otter has no driver app of its own. Otter Online Ordering lets you set a delivery radius, delivery fees and a fulfillment provider, and "choose to handle deliveries in-house or work with your preferred delivery partners such as Uber Direct and DoorDash Drive". To give your own drivers an app and tracking, Otter connects Shipday or Nash, which you "manage … right from your Otter account" in the US and Canada; those are separate subscriptions. Otter's online ordering starts in its Advanced bundle at $178 a month per location, plus transaction fees.

- Your own drivers on Otter cost $35–59 a month more at this volume for Shipday's app and tracking, on top of a $178 bundle.
- Otter's $100 minimum processing fee matters for smaller restaurants: below $25,000 of monthly card volume, you pay at least $100 in processing.
