Can I read a customer's voice note order as text on WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp can turn a voice message into text on your phone, in the languages it supports. Always confirm the written order back to the customer.
- Switch it on: go to Settings > Chats > Voice message transcripts, then choose a language.
- One message: press and hold the voice note and tap the transcribe option.
- On your device: transcripts are made on your phone, so WhatsApp cannot access the content of your messages.
- Languages: the rollout began with a limited set of languages and more were to follow. WhatsApp lists the supported ones in its Help Center.
Get orders itemised, not as voice notes
With Hi then Order Now, customers pick dishes from your Menuthere menu. The order arrives itemised and added up, so there is no voice note for you to decode.
