Where did Labels go in my WhatsApp Business app, and what are Lists?

WhatsApp is turning Labels into Lists, rolling the change out gradually, so some phones still show Labels and others show Lists. Both let you sort order chats into groups.

• Why yours looks different: WhatsApp says labels are now lists and is rolling lists out gradually.
• Make a list: tap the + in the filter bar at the top of the Chats tab. Long-press a list to edit it.
• Labels have a cap: you can create up to 20 labels. WhatsApp does not give a number for lists in the pages we read.
• Lists can hold groups and one-to-one chats together.
• Keep stage names short, such as New, Paid, Cooking, Done, so the same steps work whichever name your phone shows.
