Shiprocket integration: parcels across India and same-city riders, from your orders
Updated October 20, 2026
Menuthere connects to your own Shiprocket account so you can ship orders from your Menuthere store, either as parcels anywhere in India or with Shiprocket Quick, a rider within your city. You decide when orders ship (on Accepted, Ready or Dispatched) and whether checkout charges Shiprocket's live rate. Shipping is billed to your Shiprocket wallet, not through Menuthere. Shiprocket is on the Pro plan (US$39 a month, invoiced in rupees) and is set up with Menuthere support, for stores in India.
In short
- Two modes. Parcel courier for packed goods to any PIN code in India; Shiprocket Quick for a same-city rider.
- Your wallet, your rates. Every shipment spends your own Shiprocket wallet. Menuthere won't switch Shiprocket on until your login passes a connection test.
- Live rate at checkout, if you want it. If Shiprocket can't quote an address, your own delivery pricing is used.
- Beyond your delivery radius. When Shiprocket can quote an address past your radius, checkout lets the order through.
- Tracking comes back by webhook. Without the webhook, tracking updates never reach your dashboard.
Parcel courier or Shiprocket Quick?
| Parcel courier | Shiprocket Quick | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Packed goods anywhere in India: sweets, dry snacks, cookies, pickles | Same-city delivery by a rider: hot food, cakes, local orders |
| Rate quoted from | The delivery PIN code and your package size | The pickup and delivery map pins |
| You also set | A default package size: length, breadth, height and weight | What you send, such as Food |
| The customer's address needs | A PIN code | A map location |
Shiprocket says Quick runs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad, with partners including Ola, Flash, LoadShare and Borzo, no minimum distance and no surge pricing (shiprocket.in/quick, checked 20 Oct 2026). Check your own pickup PIN code with Shiprocket.
How to connect Shiprocket to Menuthere
- Create an API user in Shiprocket. In Shiprocket, go to Settings, API, Add New API User. Use an email address different from your Shiprocket login, and copy the password straight away, because Shiprocket shows it only once.
- Send the login to Menuthere support. Send the API user email and password to Menuthere support. Support enters them and runs Test connection.
- Pick a shipping mode and pickup location. Tell support whether to use Parcel courier or Shiprocket Quick, and which pickup location to use. It must already exist in Shiprocket.
- Decide when and how orders ship. Choose whether orders ship automatically once Accepted, Ready or Dispatched, and whether checkout charges Shiprocket's live rate.
- Add the webhook, then switch it on. Add the webhook URL and token from support in Shiprocket under Settings, Additional Settings, Webhooks, with Auth Token Type x-api-key, and turn the connection on. Then switch on Shiprocket under Settings, Features.
The Shiprocket password is stored encrypted and never shown again. Support can also schedule the courier's pickup once a courier is assigned.
Example: a bakery with local and out-of-town orders
A bakery in Pune delivers cakes nearby with its own rider and ships boxes of cookies to other cities. With the Porter and Rapido add-on's distance bands, it can run all of it from one store:
| Order | Distance | Carrier | Customer pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birthday cake, same area | Up to 3 km | The bakery's own rider | The bakery's own delivery price |
| Cookie box, across town | 3 to 15 km | Shiprocket Quick rider | Shiprocket's live rate |
| Cookie box, Bengaluru | Beyond 15 km | Shiprocket parcel courier | Shiprocket's live rate for that PIN code |
Without distance bands, Shiprocket ships every order you set it to, on your chosen trigger, or when you press Ship on the order. For fragile items, read can I send cakes safely with a bike courier?
Limits to know
- India only, and on Pro.
- Set up by support. The Shiprocket setup screen isn't in the dashboard yet, so support enters your API login and runs the connection test.
- A separate API user. Shiprocket rejects an API user with the same email as your Shiprocket login.
- Your pickup location must already exist in Shiprocket.
- Shiprocket's service, Shiprocket's rules. Coverage, weights and courier choice are set by Shiprocket.

FAQs
Who pays Shiprocket for each shipment?
You do, from your own Shiprocket wallet. Menuthere doesn't bill shipping. If you turn on the live rate, the customer pays Shiprocket's rate to you as the delivery charge at checkout.
Which Menuthere plan includes Shiprocket?
Shiprocket is on the Pro plan, which costs US$39 a month, invoiced in rupees. Menuthere support sets up the connection with you.
Can I use Shiprocket Quick for hot food?
Shiprocket Quick books a same-city rider using the pickup and delivery map pins, and you can set what you send to Food. Coverage depends on your city, so check your pickup PIN code with Shiprocket.
Why can't I switch Shiprocket on?
Menuthere won't switch it on until your login has passed Test connection, because shipping spends your own Shiprocket wallet.
Can I ship only far orders with Shiprocket?
Yes, with Route by distance, part of the Porter and Rapido add-on. Give the last distance band to Shiprocket and keep near orders for your own riders.
Does Shiprocket work for stores outside India?
No. The Shiprocket integration is for stores in India. Stores outside India can use Uber Direct.
