Free Mexican restaurant menu template
Updated October 20, 2026
Open our free Mexican menu template, add your dishes and prices, and download a print-ready PDF: it's a Modern layout in terracotta with a bold Anton heading, Spanish dish names with an English line under each, and sections for antojitos, platos fuertes and bebidas. No sign-up, no email and no watermark. Below: what's in it, how to run a menu in two languages, why ceviche counts as raw fish under the Food Code, and how to price a margarita pitcher.
In short
- The template: Modern layout, terracotta, Anton heading; Antojitos, Platos fuertes, Bebidas.
- Two languages: Spanish names ("Enchiladas verdes") with an English description, so both groups of guests order without asking.
- Ceviche is raw fish under the FDA Food Code: the fish needs a parasite-destruction freeze (unless exempt) and the menu needs a consumer advisory. The template stars it.

What's in the Mexican menu template
It opens as "Casa Jacaranda, cocina mexicana".
| Sección | Example dishes | English line |
|---|---|---|
| Antojitos | Guacamole y totopos, Queso fundido, Ceviche de camarón* | "Raw shrimp cured in lime, tomato, cilantro" |
| Platos fuertes | Enchiladas verdes, Carne asada, Mole poblano, Chiles rellenos | Fillings and sides in English |
| Bebidas | Agua fresca, Margarita (glass / pitcher), Mexican Coke | Flavors: horchata, jamaica, tamarindo |
The foot line carries the consumer-advisory reminder for the starred ceviche. Mole poblano is described with sesame, one of the FDA's 9 major allergens. Many moles also contain peanuts or tree nuts; name yours.
Running a menu in two languages
- Lead with the name your regulars use. If most guests order in Spanish, keep the Spanish name as the dish name and the English as the description, as the template does. Flip it if most order in English.
- Keep one name per dish. Don't translate a dish name twice in different places; the kitchen ticket should match the menu.
- Translate the warnings too. Put the allergy line and the advisory in both languages.
Online, Menuthere lets every dish carry a second name on a second line on every plan, and the Lite plan (US$17 a month) adds a language button that shows the whole menu in Spanish or 12 other languages.
Ceviche: the Food Code rules
Lime juice doesn't make raw fish safe. The FDA Food Code 2026 names ceviche, with sushi and cold-smoked salmon, among the raw fish dishes that can carry parasites, and treats raw-marinated fish as raw:
| Rule | Food Code 2026 | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Parasite destruction | § 3-402.11: fish served raw or raw-marinated must first be frozen, for example at −4°F (−20°C) or below for 7 days | Buy fish frozen to that standard and keep the supplier's statement, or freeze it yourself and keep records |
| Exemptions | Molluscan shellfish, some tuna species, certain farm-raised fish fed pellets, rinsed fish eggs | Shrimp is a crustacean, which the Food Code counts as fish, so it isn't exempt |
| Consumer advisory | § 3-603.11: a disclosure plus a reminder | Star the dish ("Ceviche de camarón*") and add the footnote |
Many kitchens poach the shrimp briefly before curing it. Then it isn't raw, and the description should say "cooked shrimp".
Worked example: a margarita pitcher
The template sells a margarita at $11 a glass or $38 a pitcher. Say a glass holds 1.5 oz of tequila and a pitcher 6 oz (four glasses).
| Four glasses | One pitcher | |
|---|---|---|
| Tequila at $0.90/oz (example) | 6 oz, $5.40 | 6 oz, $5.40 |
| Triple sec, lime, syrup (example) | $2.40 | $2.40 |
| Price | $44 | $38 |
| Drink cost % | 17.7% | 20.5% |
The pitcher saves the table $6 and you one round of service. Some states limit pitchers; Massachusetts, for example, allows mixed drinks by the pitcher only when served to two or more people. Test your own costs with the menu price calculator. More on drinks lists in the bar menu template.

If your regulars use WhatsApp, Menuthere's Pro plan (US$39 a month) runs ordering and order updates on your own WhatsApp number. Pew Research found 56% of Hispanic adults in the US use WhatsApp. In the US, WhatsApp can send order updates but not promotions, because Meta doesn't deliver marketing templates to +1 numbers; each update is a paid utility message of about US$0.0034, so use email for offers. FAQs
Is this Mexican menu template free?
Yes. Edit it and download it as a PDF or an image for free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Should a Mexican menu be in Spanish or English?
Many US Mexican restaurants use both: the Spanish dish name with an English description. Lead with the language most of your guests order in, and translate the allergy and advisory lines too.
Does ceviche need a consumer advisory?
Yes, if the fish or shrimp is raw. The FDA Food Code treats raw-marinated fish as raw, so it needs a parasite-destruction freeze unless exempt and a consumer advisory on the menu. Cooked shrimp ceviche doesn't need the advisory.
Is there a Spanish menu template?
This template uses Spanish dish names with English descriptions. Type your own names and lines, or use the bilingual copy-ready layout on this page in Word or Google Docs.
Is there a Mexican menu template for Word?
The menu maker downloads PDFs and images, not Word files. Use the copy-ready layout on this page in Word or Google Docs.
