That is also Valentine's Day. Most restaurants will see two rushes on the same Sunday: to-go wing and party platters picked up before kickoff, then couples who still want a dinner out. The templates below cover both, plus a counter pre-order sheet and promo copy you can paste into your email tool.
The NFL's 2026–27 schedule puts the conference championships on Sunday, January 31, 2027, so you'll know the two teams exactly two weeks before the game. Super Bowl LXII will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in February 2028; the NFL lists that date as TBA.

Under CAN-SPAM, a promo email needs an honest subject line, your valid postal address and a clear way to opt out, and opt-outs must be honored within 10 business days (FTC). If your customers order on WhatsApp, keep it for order updates: Meta does not deliver marketing template messages to US (+1) phone numbers, so in the US WhatsApp sends order updates (utility messages, about US$0.0034 each), not promotions. Worked example: 60 wing platters before kickoff
These are example figures only. Use your own supplier prices and tested yields.

At a 32% target cost, $26.00 ÷ 0.32 = $81.25. A menu price of $79 puts cost at 32.9%; $82 puts it at 31.7%. Sales tax goes on top at checkout. Sixty platters at $79 bring in $4,740 against $1,560 of food and packaging, and need about 360 lb of raw wings, so book the order with your supplier before pre-orders open.
Now spread the 60 platters across four 30-minute pickup windows that end well before kickoff: 15 platters, about 90 lb of wings, per window. Work out how many pounds your fryers can cook in 30 minutes. If it's less than 90 lb, either start cooking earlier and hold platters hot at 140°F or above, or sell fewer platters. Menuthere doesn't cap orders per slot, so when the Prebookings tab shows 60, mark the platter out of stock and the menu stops taking more.

US rules to check before game day
- "Super Bowl" is a registered trademark. USPTO records show live registrations for the SUPER BOWL word mark owned by NFL Properties LLC (for example serial 72321005, for football exhibition services). Many restaurants and bars say "the Big Game" in their ads and avoid anything that suggests an official link to the NFL. If you're unsure about a promotion, ask your attorney.
- Food held for parties. USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service says food shouldn't sit out of refrigeration for more than 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), hot food should stay at or above 140°F and cold food at or below 40°F. Print that line on the platter label.
- Cook wings to 165°F. FSIS lists 165°F as the safe minimum internal temperature for all poultry, wings included.
- Alcohol. Watch-party drink specials and any alcohol to go are governed by your state's alcohol rules. Check with your state's alcohol beverage control agency before you advertise them.
How to do it in Menuthere

When is the Super Bowl in 2027?
Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, according to the NFL's 2026–27 schedule. It falls on Valentine's Day, and the federal Washington's Birthday holiday is the next day.
When should a restaurant open Super Bowl pre-orders?
About three weeks before the game, around January 25, 2027. Send your main reminder after the conference championships on January 31, when the teams are known, and close platter orders two days before game day so you can order and prep the wings.
Can my restaurant use the words "Super Bowl" in ads?
The NFL holds registered trademarks for SUPER BOWL, so many restaurants and bars say "the Big Game" in their promotions and avoid anything that suggests an official link to the league. Ask your attorney if you're unsure about a specific ad.
How much should I charge for a wing platter?
Add up the wings, sauces, sides and packaging, then divide by your target cost percentage. In our example a 50-wing platter costs $26.00 to make, so a 32% target gives about $81, and a $79 menu price puts food cost at 32.9%.
How long can game-day food sit out?
USDA says no more than 2 hours out of refrigeration, or 1 hour above 90°F. Keep hot food at or above 140°F and cold food at or below 40°F, and put that line on your platter labels.
Can I limit Super Bowl orders to a number of platters per pickup time?

Can I send a Super Bowl offer on WhatsApp to US customers?
