A restaurant loyalty app with your name on it
Updated October 19, 2026
A restaurant loyalty app gives your regulars points for ordering from you and a reason to come back. Menuthere builds loyalty into your ordering, so there is no separate punch-card tool to run. On the Pro plan ($39 a month), loyalty points work on your ordering website. On the Branded App plan ($99 a month), customers also get your own app on the App Store and Google Play, where they see their points, reorder in a tap and get your push notifications. We take 0% commission on every plan.
In short
- Points tied to orders: loyalty points are part of Menuthere's ordering, not a separate app or card.
- Pro, $39 a month: loyalty points on your ordering website, plus WhatsApp ordering on your own number and advanced analytics.
- Branded App, $99 a month: your own app for Android and iOS, under your restaurant's name and icon, where customers see their loyalty points.
- Push notifications bring them back: remind regulars about their points, announce offers and new dishes. Unlimited, scheduled or repeating.
- Built and published for you. Apple and Google store fees included. No free trial on Branded App, but nothing to pay at signup.
- 0% commission on all plans. Your card payment gateway charges its own processing fee.
Two ways to run loyalty with Menuthere
Both plans use the same menu, orders and customer list. The difference is where your customers see their points and how you reach them.
| Pro: loyalty on your website | Branded App: loyalty in your own app | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $39 a month | $99 a month, or $990 a year billed yearly |
| Where customers see their points | On your ordering website, in the phone's browser | In your own app on their home screen |
| Your app on the App Store and Google Play | No | Yes, under your restaurant's name and icon |
| Reaching customers | WhatsApp ordering and order updates on your own number | Unlimited push notifications, plus everything in Pro |
| Order updates | Pushed to the customer's phone (accepted, ready, on the way) | |
| Commission | 0% | 0% |
| Free trial | 7 days | No (we build and publish an app for you) |
Start on Pro if you want to test loyalty first. Move to Branded App when your regulars are ordering often enough to install an app. Your menu, orders and customers come with you.
How loyalty points work
Loyalty points start on Pro and work the same way on Branded App:
- Customers earn points on completed orders. You set the earn rate as a percentage of the order total, for example 2% back. Points are whole numbers, rounded down.
- They spend points at checkout on a later order, up to the limits you set: a minimum number of points to redeem and the most of a bill points can pay.
- Separate rules for delivery, takeaway and dine-in, each with its own earn rate and minimum order.
- Points don't expire. You can add or remove points by hand, with a reason, from Promotions → Loyalty.
- Customers sign in to collect points. Guest orders don't earn them.

Why points work harder inside your own app
Loyalty points only bring people back if customers remember they have them. On a website, they see their points when they visit. In your own app, two things change:
- Your icon sits on their home screen. Every time they unlock their phone, your restaurant is one tap away, not a search away.
- You can tell them. A push notification lands on their lock screen: "You have points waiting. Order tonight." Without your app, you'd be paying an ad platform or a marketplace to reach the same customer.
Push notifications are included and unlimited on the Branded App plan. Each one has a title (up to 65 characters), a message (up to 240 characters) and an optional image. Send it to all app users or to followers only, and send it now, schedule it, or repeat it daily or weekly from Sales channel → App → App notification. See how push notifications work.
Push ideas for your loyalty members
- Points reminders: "Your points are waiting. Use them on Friday's order."
- Quiet-day offers: "Tuesday only: free fries with any burger."
- New dishes: a photo and one line, sent just before lunch.
- Festivals and holidays: pre-orders for Thanksgiving pies, Diwali sweets, Christmas platters or Eid feasts.
- Weekly habits: a repeating Monday-morning push for coffee regulars, or a Friday-evening one for pizza night.
Separate loyalty app or loyalty built into ordering?
Many loyalty tools are separate products: a punch-card app, or a loyalty platform you connect to your till or ordering system. Here's what to weigh before you choose.
| Question | Separate loyalty or punch-card app | Loyalty built into Menuthere ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Do points come from orders automatically? | Only if it connects to your ordering or till. Check before you buy | Yes. Points are part of the order |
| How many tools do you pay for? | The loyalty tool plus your ordering system | One plan: Pro ($39) or Branded App ($99) |
| Do customers install another app? | Often, and it's the vendor's app, not yours | On Branded App, they install your own app |
| Can you message members? | Depends on the vendor | Push notifications on Branded App; WhatsApp order updates on Pro |
| Commission on orders | Depends on your ordering system | 0% |
Do you need a loyalty app?
Not every restaurant does. Be honest about who orders from you:
- Mostly first-time or passing customers? A loyalty app won't do much. Most people won't install an app for one visit. A good ordering website matters more. Menuthere's free ordering website covers that.
- Regulars who order every week? That's where points pay off. Start with loyalty points on Pro, on your website.
- Regulars, and you want to message them directly? Move to Branded App. Your own app with points and push notifications gives you a direct line to the customers who already like you.
Loyalty points work best for coffee shops and cafés with daily customers, pizza and takeaway shops with weekly orders, and bakeries with repeat and pre-ordered cakes. See our loyalty program page for more on how points work in Menuthere.
What else comes with the Branded App plan
Loyalty is one part of it. With Branded App you also get:
- Your own app on Android and iOS, published on Google Play and the App Store by Menuthere under your restaurant's name and icon. Apple's $99 a year and Google Play's $25 developer fees are included.
- Ordering and payment in the app, with live delivery tracking when you use your own riders.
- Everything in Pro: WhatsApp Business API on your own number, loyalty points, your own riders with live tracking, advanced analytics, several outlets and discounts.
- A dedicated support contact and an onboarding call.

Points in your own app, $99 a month, 0% commission. Nothing to pay at signup. Get your app, or try Pro free for 7 days to start with loyalty on your website.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best loyalty program for restaurants?
The one your regulars actually use. Points that come automatically with every order are easier for customers than a separate card or app they have to remember. With Menuthere, loyalty points are part of your ordering: on your website with Pro, or in your own app with Branded App.
What is the best free loyalty app?
Menuthere's loyalty points aren't on the Free plan. They come with Pro at $39 a month, and you can try Pro free for 7 days. If you want your own app with points and push notifications, the Branded App plan is $99 a month.
Can customers see their loyalty points in my app?
Yes. On the Branded App plan, customers see their loyalty points in your own app, and they can order, pay and reorder past orders there too.
Do I need the Branded App plan to offer loyalty points?
No. Loyalty points come with Pro at $39 a month and work on your ordering website. Branded App adds your own app on the App Store and Google Play and unlimited push notifications.
Can I remind customers about their points?
Yes, on the Branded App plan. Send a push notification with a title, a message and an optional image to all app users or to followers only. Send it now, schedule it, or repeat it daily or weekly. There's no limit on how many you send.
Does it work for a coffee shop or café?
Yes. Daily customers order ahead in your app, see their points and get your morning offers as push notifications.
Do you take commission on orders?
No. Menuthere takes 0% commission on every plan. The payment gateway you use for card payments charges its own processing fee.
How long does it take to get my own app?
You add at least 10 dishes with photos, book a call with Menuthere's founder and pay the first month. We then build your app, publish it on the App Store and Google Play and tell you when it's live. Store reviews vary, so your subscription only starts counting from the day your app goes live.
Do I pay Apple's and Google's developer fees?
No. Apple's $99 a year and Google Play's $25 fee are included in your $99 a month, and we handle the store submission for you.
Is there a free trial?
Not on the Branded App plan, because we build and publish an app for you, but nothing is paid at signup. You can try Pro, which includes loyalty points, free for 7 days first. You add a card to start the trial, and nothing is charged until it ends.
