Is GST charged on Zomato and Swiggy commission?

Yes. Press reports say 18% GST is added on top of the commission, which is reported at 15 to 30%, plus payment fees.
- Zomato and Swiggy do not publish these rates themselves. The range comes from press reports.
- Business Standard (30 July 2026) reported total deductions of 25% to over 35% on an order.
- Other items reported: payment gateway fees of about 1 to 3%, marketing fees and packaging.
- Check your own statement to see what you actually paid.
Orders on your link carry no commission
Orders on your own Menuthere link carry 0% commission, so there is no GST on a commission and no app fee, only your payment gateway's fee.
