Does Porter insure my food orders?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
No, Porter does not insure goods, and its rates include no insurance charge. It accepts no liability unless damage is proved to come from reckless driving, and then it is capped.
- No insurance sold: Porter recommends the customer insure shipments.
- Liability is capped: the lower of the goods' value or ten times the freight, and only for reckless driving.
- Your duty: its terms require insuring goods worth over Rs 1,500 on two-wheelers (Rs 5,000 for larger vehicles).
- Plan for loss: decide who covers a spilled order before it happens.
