How do I stop WhatsApp orders from different customers getting mixed up?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Give every order a number, repeat it with the customer's name when you confirm, and write that number on the bag. Two similar orders then cannot be swapped.
- Start a simple count each day: 1, 2, 3. Put the number at the top of your confirmation message.
- Write the number and the first name on the bag or box, not just the dish.
- Use one label per stage, such as "Cooking" and "Ready", and move the chat when the stage changes.
- Keep each customer in their own chat. Never combine two orders into one message.
- Before handing over, read the name and number aloud to the rider or customer.
Every order in one list
Menuthere puts every order in one dashboard and partner app that rings until an order is accepted, so the kitchen works from a single list and nothing depends on scrolling chats.
