What should I do when one customer sends many messages for a single WhatsApp order?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Wait until they stop typing, then send one summary of the items, address and total and ask for a single "yes". Use that one message as the order, not the earlier pieces.
- Do not answer each message. Wait a minute, then reply once, so the chat does not get longer.
- Write the order as a short list and ask: "Is this correct?" Only start cooking after a yes.
- If the customer changes something later, add it to the same list and send the updated list again.
- Save a quick reply with a simple order format, and send it to customers who tend to type in pieces.
- Label the chat "Order in progress" so staff know it is being handled.
One clear order instead of ten messages
On your Menuthere link the customer builds the whole order on one screen and sends it once, so you get a single order with items, address and total instead of a string of chat messages.
