Will my WhatsApp ordering stop working if my provider still uses the old On-Premises API?
Updated 13 October 2026
Yes, if your number is still on the old On-Premises API. Messages to and from it have not been delivered since 23 October 2025. Ask your provider to move it to the Cloud API.
- Ended: the final supported On-Premises API client version expired on 23 October 2025.
- Not delivered: messages sent to or from numbers still registered for the On-Premises API will not arrive.
- Meta's advice: use the Cloud API on the WhatsApp Business Platform instead.
- New numbers: since 1 July 2024, new numbers could be registered only for the Cloud API.
- Your move: ask your provider to move the number, or connect through a provider already on the Cloud API.
Stay on Meta's current setup
Menuthere connects your own number through Meta's current sign-up flow, so you are not left on a retired setup, and the Hi then Order Now flow keeps working.
