Can I connect WhatsApp to my ordering system or POS?
Updated 30 September 2026
Yes, on the WhatsApp Business API, usually through a provider (a Business Solution Provider) that links WhatsApp to your software. Unofficial tools that automate the free Business app break WhatsApp's rules.
- Meta says a provider can connect WhatsApp to an omnichannel inbox, customer support software or a bot platform.
- When a customer sends a cart from your catalog, the API passes the order to your software as a notification with the order details.
- Whether your POS can take those orders depends on the POS and the provider, so ask both before you pay.
- Coexistence lets you keep the Business app on the same number while a partner connects the API. Broadcast lists are then disabled.
WhatsApp and ordering in one system
Menuthere is the ordering system and WhatsApp together: customers send “Hi” on your own number, tap Order Now, and the order reaches your dashboard. It has its own basic POS, and Petpooja POS can be set up for you.
