Can customers order food in Google Maps with Ask Maps?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Yes, in a limited way. Google announced ordering in Ask Maps on 6 August 2026, starting with partners such as Square and Toast.
- Ask Maps finds open restaurants serving a dish and adds it to a cart for the customer to finish.
- Uber Eats was described as coming soon.
- Google says it is rolling out in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan and Mexico, and in English in over 150 countries.
- One report says for now it covers only restaurants using Square or Toast online ordering.
- Check your own area before you plan around it.
