For small food businesses
An online ordering system for a small business should fit a home baker, tiffin cook, cloud kitchen, food truck or one café: no contract, no new hardware. Here is what fits, what it costs and when to pay.
Free plan: 50 orders a month and 0% commission on every plan.

The fit test
Menuthere is built for food businesses: restaurants, cafés, bakeries, cloud kitchens, tiffin services and food trucks. It is not a tool for florists or retail. Check any system against these six points.
One link for WhatsApp, your Instagram bio and Google, and a QR code to print. The menu opens in the customer's phone browser. Nothing to download.
Orders arrive in a dashboard and in a partner app for Android and iPhone that rings until you accept. You do not need a tablet, printer or POS. Menuthere has its own basic POS as an add-on if you want it.
The app keeps ringing until you accept, or you can switch on auto-accept. Customers can also chat with you on WhatsApp, and you get a copy of each order on your number.
On the free plan customers can pay cash, pay on pickup, or use your own payment link or bank details. Online card and UPI payments start on Lite, when you want them.
Month to month. 0% commission on every plan. The only per-order cost is your payment gateway's fee, and only if you switch online payments on.
Cake sizes, portion sizes and extras are on every plan. Customers can add an order note at checkout, for a message on the cake or a spice level.
By business
Each card says what to use and what Menuthere does not do.
Menu with sizes and add-ons, an order note, delivery or pickup. Pre-orders for a date and time, with a lead time you set, are on Lite. A custom cake priced after a chat still starts in WhatsApp. Not on Google? Create your store manually. Bakery page, how home bakers take orders.
Start with basic delivery zones and fees on Free. On Lite customers order ahead for a date and time, and you draw your delivery areas on a map. Menuthere does not bill weekly or monthly meal plans or run skip and pause. Tiffin guide, delivery management.
Your own direct link beside the apps, 0% commission, and customer details in your own dashboard. Orders placed on Zomato, Swiggy or other apps stay in those apps. Cloud kitchens, what delivery apps charge.
One QR code on the truck and pickup orders. Pre-orders so you can plan the queue are on Lite. Add the link to your Google profile. Food trucks, how a food truck takes online orders.
Table QR ordering is on Free, with takeaway and delivery. A second order from the same table joins the open bill. A dashboard setting can check the diner is at the café before a table order goes through. Cafés, setting up a café.
Sell by weight or box size as variants, mark a sweet out of stock, and open festival pre-orders on Lite. How sweet shops sell on WhatsApp.
Where orders come from
Most small food businesses take orders in chats today. The WhatsApp Business app is free to download and use. It works for a few orders a day. Catalog items carry a title, photos, an optional description and, in some countries, a price. No field for sizes or add-ons is listed. An ordering link puts the whole menu, with sizes and extras, behind one link, and the order arrives complete.
On Free, customers can chat with you on WhatsApp and you get a copy of each order on your number. On Pro ($39 a month), Menuthere connects the WhatsApp Business API on your own number. That adds an Order Now button, automatic status updates, broadcasts and comeback messages, and Menuthere submits the message templates they need to Meta for you. Meta bills its per-message fee to your own account. Menuthere takes no cut. See WhatsApp ordering.
Do you need your own app? Your customers install nothing, because the menu opens in the phone's browser. You use the Menuthere partner app on Android or iPhone to receive orders. A branded customer app with your own name and icon is an Enterprise feature only. The restaurant ordering app page covers that question in full.

Money
Two costs exist: the plan, if you pay for one, and your payment gateway, if you switch on online payments.
Free is $0 with 50 orders a month, under two a day. Lite is $9 a month and Pro is $39 a month. Lite and Pro have a 7-day free trial. Month to month, no contract. See pricing.
0% on every plan, with no per-order fee. Castiron's free plan, for comparison, takes 10% at checkout. What commission-free means.
The gateway charges it, not Menuthere. Stripe's standard US rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per domestic card payment, so a US$20 order costs about 88¢. UK standard cards are 1.5% + 20p. Razorpay in India states 2%. Easebuzz publishes no rate card. Check your gateway's own page, because rates change.
A payment gateway or POS that Menuthere sets up for you on Pro has a one-time setup fee. The walk-in POS is an add-on. Nothing else is priced per order. Comparing with delivery apps? See what they charge by country.
When to pay
Downgrading never deletes anything. The right plan depends on your own orders, so use these as a guide.
Your orders fit 50 a month, customers pay cash, pay on pickup or use your own payment link, and a Menuthere link with the "Ordering by Menuthere" badge is fine for you.
You reach the 50 cap. Or you want online card and UPI payments, pre-orders and scheduled orders, your own domain without the badge, delivery areas drawn on a map, coupons, or full order history and customer export.
Chats and missed orders pile up. Pro adds the WhatsApp Business API on your own number with automatic updates and broadcasts, a missed-order WhatsApp alert, loyalty points, your own riders app, and more outlets at $39 each.
Customers pay cash or on pickup, or use your own payment link. India uses Razorpay or Easebuzz on Lite, and Cashfree or OrangePG on Pro. Stripe lists the countries where it opens accounts on its own site.
