Google review QR code for cafés

A café can make a Google review QR code by pasting its review link from Google Business Profile into the tool below and printing the card it makes. This version opens with coffee-shop wording and colours: an A6 card that asks guests how their coffee was, small enough for a counter or a two-seat table. Guests scan it while they wait for their order or finish their cup and land on the box where they write a review. You can also save the QR on its own for receipts and stickers.

Part of the free Google review QR code.

1Your review link
  1. 1. Open your Google Business Profile, signed in with the Google account that manages your business.
  2. 2. Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  3. 3. Copy the link and paste it above. It looks like g.page/r/…/review.

Put your menu and payment QR on the same card

The table QR card maker puts your review QR beside your menu and payment QR codes.

Make a table QR card

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your review link

Copy it from your Google Business Profile (Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy), or paste your Google Maps listing link. The tool shows where to find it.

  2. 2

    Pick a design and wording

Add your name, a short, honest headline and your logo. The tool warns you if the wording offers anything in return for a review.

  3. 3

    Download and print

Download the A6 card as a PDF or an image, or the QR code on its own as SVG or PNG for receipts and stickers.

Where review QR codes work in a café

  1. 1

    Put it where people wait

Guests who order at the counter then wait at the pickup point with nothing to do. A card in a holder there, at eye level beside the cake display or the till, gets read while their hands are free. A second card on each small table reaches the people who sit in.

  2. 2

Use the QR on its own for cups and receipts

Download the QR code by itself as SVG or PNG and add it to your receipt printer's footer, a cup sleeve sticker or the back of your loyalty stamp card. The same link works everywhere, so every scan lands on your review box.

  3. 3

Ask, but never offer a reward

A free cookie or a discount for a review breaks Google's rules, and the tool warns you if the wording on the card offers one. Ask every guest the same way, whether they look happy or not.

Questions owners ask

Answered, plainly.

On a computer, open your Google Business Profile, choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link. Paste it into the tool above, add your café's name and logo, and download the card or the QR code. It is free and needs no sign-up.

No. Google's help page says offering discounts, free items or payment in return for reviews is not allowed. Keep the card to a plain request, like the example wording. The tool flags words such as discount, voucher or free coffee on the card.

Yes. A guest has to be signed in to a Google Account to post a review. A guest without one can make an account with any email address, Gmail or not, before writing the review.

The table QR card maker puts your menu, payment and Google review QR codes on one card. For Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi QR code card makes a card guests scan to join without typing the password.

No. The QR code holds your review link itself, so it keeps working as long as Google keeps that link. Print as many cards as you like; there is no account or subscription behind them.
