Google review QR code for bakeries

A bakery can make a Google review QR code by pasting its Google review link into the tool below, then printing the counter card or saving the QR code for boxes and bags. This version opens with bakery wording in a warm pink: an A6 card for the counter, by the till or the bread shelf. What a bakery sells is usually eaten away from the shop, so the same QR code also goes on cake boxes, bread bags and pastry boxes, where people see it again at home with the cake in front of them.

Part of the free Google review QR code.

1Your review link
  1. 1. Open your Google Business Profile, signed in with the Google account that manages your business.
  2. 2. Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  3. 3. Copy the link and paste it above. It looks like g.page/r/…/review.

Put your menu and payment QR on the same card

The table QR card maker puts your review QR beside your menu and payment QR codes.

Make a table QR card

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your review link

Copy it from your Google Business Profile (Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy), or paste your Google Maps listing link. The tool shows where to find it.

  2. 2

    Pick a design and wording

Add your name, a short, honest headline and your logo. The tool warns you if the wording offers anything in return for a review.

  3. 3

    Download and print

Download the A6 card as a PDF or an image, or the QR code on its own as SVG or PNG for receipts and stickers.

Where review QR codes work in a bakery

  1. 1

Put the QR on the box, not only the counter

Save the QR code on its own and print it as a small sticker for cake boxes, pastry boxes and bread bags. A birthday cake is opened in front of a room full of people, which is a better moment to ask than the queue at the till.

  2. 2

Send the link after a custom cake

If you take custom cake orders on WhatsApp, copy the review link from the tool and send it a day after the collection or delivery, with a thank-you. The customer can review from the same chat, with the cake still fresh in mind.

  3. 3

Ask every customer, not only the happy ones

Google's rules don't allow asking only the customers you expect to be pleased. Put the card where everyone sees it, and send the link to every custom-order customer, not a chosen few.

Questions owners ask

Answered, plainly.

Copy your review link from Google Business Profile (on a computer: Read reviews, then Get more reviews), or paste your Google Maps listing link. Add your bakery's name and logo in the tool above and download the A6 card, or the QR code on its own for boxes and bags.

Yes. Download the QR code by itself as SVG or PNG and print it as a sticker, or send it to whoever prints your boxes. Keep a light margin around the code and print it dark on a light background so phones read it.

No. Google's help page says offering discounts, free items or payment for a review is not allowed. Thank customers for their order instead, and keep the card and the message a plain request.

No. Google's content policy says businesses must not selectively ask happy customers for reviews or discourage negative ones. A card on every counter and a link sent to every custom-order customer keeps you within it.

The cake price calculator makes a price list image to share, and the printable menu maker makes a menu or a counter board with your bakes and prices.
