What must delivery apps in the EU tell restaurants about ranking, terms and data?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Under EU Regulation 2019/1150, platforms must give 15 days' notice of term changes, 30 days' notice with reasons before ending a contract, and explain their main ranking parameters.
- Notice of changes to terms: at least 15 days, on a durable medium such as email.
- Termination: at least 30 days' notice, with the reasons.
- Ranking: explain the main parameters, including whether payment influences ranking.
- Data and prices: describe what data you can access, and state the grounds for any limit on offering different prices elsewhere.
- Complaints: a free complaint system and at least two named mediators.
Orders that do not depend on one app
Menuthere gives you your own ordering website, QR codes and WhatsApp ordering at 0% commission, so a change of terms at one app does not stop all your orders.
