What happens if the customer is not home when a Porter rider arrives?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Porter contacts you, the sender, first. Under its terms, if the sender cannot be reached the goods may be returned to the pick-up point or disposed of as Porter deems practical.
- You are the first call: Porter's terms say it contacts the sender if the recipient is not available.
- No answer, no control: if you cannot be reached the goods may be returned or disposed of.
- Keep your phone on while a delivery is out.
- Tell the customer the time: a live status page helps them be home.
Keep the customer and order in view
Menuthere connects Porter and Rapido from your own account and gives the customer a live order-status page, so you can keep both in view.
