How do I stop a stranger joining another table's QR order?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Last updated
Use a system that locks the table session, checks the guest is inside, or issues a one-time code. Some providers do one or more of these.
- OrderIt locks a table session once it starts, and a friend who wants to join needs the host's approval.
- OrderIt's Super Privacy Mode blocks orders from guests who are not physically inside the restaurant.
- Petpooja sends an OTP to validate every order before the kitchen fires it.
- Okage issues a one-time QR code per party that is invalidated after payment.
- Ask any provider which of these it offers before you choose.
Orders only from guests inside
Menuthere can check that a diner is at the restaurant before a table QR order goes through. You turn it on in your dashboard.
