What should I do when a customer asks to collect their WhatsApp order earlier than promised?

Check with the kitchen and tell the customer the earliest honest time. If it is not possible, say so kindly and offer what you can, such as a lighter dish that is ready sooner.
- Look at the queue before you answer. Other customers were promised times too.
- Give the new time in one clear message, such as "ready at 7.40".
- Do not rush food that needs its full cooking time. A raw or cold dish costs more than a late one.
- If you cannot, offer a dish that is faster or suggest they come at the original time.
- Update the order with the new time so staff and rider see the same thing.
Times set at order, not by chat
With Menuthere the customer sees the order status on a live page, and scheduled orders hold a time slot, so fewer customers need to ask where their order is.
