Wolt doesn't publish its commission in Israel; each restaurant's rate is set in its agreement. Restaurateurs told the press in 2025 that Wolt's contracts set a 27% commission on each delivery, a little less for busy restaurants, and that because it's charged on totals including VAT it works out at close to 32%.

Worth knowing
Restaurants' complaint. In March 2025 a restaurant association filed a complaint asking the Competition Authority to investigate Wolt as a monopoly: to drop its clause barring cheaper prices in restaurants' own channels, to stop tying its ordering platform to its couriers, and to curb excessive fees (about 32% for restaurants, it said, against about 18% plus VAT for supermarkets). The Authority had said it was starting a preliminary review; we found no ruling.
A restaurateur told N12 that Wolt applies its percentage to the whole amount including VAT (18% since 2025), and to delivery and service fees, which takes the effective rate to about 32%.
In February 2026 the Competition Authority said it did not intend to renew the exemption that lets Wolt run both a marketplace for other shops and its own grocery chain. That concerns groceries, not restaurant fees.
A 2022 class action challenged Wolt's clause stopping restaurants from charging less in their own premises than on Wolt.
