The rates
Commission is a percentage of the order, and who delivers it sets the rate. Here is what GrabFood publishes for restaurants in Singapore.
| Plan | GrabFood delivers | Pickup |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 30% | 30% |
Card processing
Grab lists no separate card fee, and doesn't say whether payment processing is inside the 30%.
GST on the commission
Yes. Grab's merchant page says its service fee is subject to the prevailing GST, which is 9% in Singapore. A GST-registered business can usually claim it back.
Activation fee
S$100 per outlet with your own device, or S$300 with a Grab device, before GST, taken from your earnings.
Starter package
Grab's “Ready, Set, Grab!” package has a one-time fee by tier. It's waived for up to 70 new merchants with fewer than 5 outlets until 31 December 2026.
Payouts
Within 48 hours; the first within 10 working days.

One $30 order on GrabFood
GrabFood keeps 30.0% of every order — $2,700 a month, or $32,400 a year at your volume.
The same order on your own ordering page
Moving 90 orders a month (30%) to your own link keeps $729 a month in your business — $8,748 a year.
Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. GrabFood agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your GrabFood payout statement is the source of truth. The direct column assumes every order is paid by card at about 3%; cash and pay-at-counter orders cost nothing. See how direct ordering works on commission-free online ordering.
Worth knowing
No commission cap. Singapore has declined to regulate delivery commission. In April 2026 the Ministry of Trade and Industry said the competition authority had seen no systematic shift in commissions or fees since Deliveroo left.
Deliveroo stopped operating in Singapore after 4 March 2026, when DoorDash, its owner, wound down four markets.
Grab's flat 30% replaces the 25–30% range it gave in 2020.
A GrabFood alternative for your regulars
A delivery app is a good way to be found and an expensive way to serve people who already know you. Give your regulars your own ordering link, and the commission on their orders stays in your business.
