Uber Eats charges restaurants in Taiwan 35% of the order when its couriers deliver and 30% on pickup. Card processing is included. On 21 July 2026 Uber raised its fee on delivery orders by 2.5 percentage points for restaurants, capped at 35%.

Worth knowing
Delivery platform law. Taiwan's delivery platform law took effect on 21 July 2026. Platforms must keep contract, transaction and settlement records, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs' model contract says commission rates, fee items and payment terms should change only by agreement with the restaurant. It sets no cap on commission.
Uber announced the July 2026 rise in April, citing the costs of the new delivery platform law: 2.5 percentage points for restaurants and 3 for grocery stores, with the fee capped at 35%.
Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission blocked Uber's purchase of foodpanda Taiwan in December 2024, and Uber dropped the deal in March 2025. Grab agreed in March 2026 to buy foodpanda Taiwan for US$600 million; the commission has extended its review to 27 October 2026, partly because Uber owns 13% of Grab.
Uber Direct, delivery for orders taken on your own website or app, charges no commission, just a delivery price based on distance.
